Cool video! I've done the entire trail system once as well (on my 42nd birthday this year) and it is quite the cardio challenge! One tip I can give you for long distance rides is Gatorade "Gatorlytes"....my triathlete buddy recommended them to me to stop the muscle cramps. Looking forward to the next video, God bless!

I certainly was not prepared. I didn't have enough fluids with me or enough time. I had to push myself more than I wanted and I didn't have any fuel haha. Glad I wasn't the only one who struggled lol!

True old school single track. There is a "Highland Challenge" of 6 full loops for about 100 miles. INSANE.

Just realized I never replied to you 8 months ago lol... but holy cow, that's a lot of miles on a challenging trail system. That sounds ridiculous! I still have to conquer my first 50 mile mountain bike ride haha.

I rode torn shirt for the first time about 3 weeks ago and it was super techy, the tree root decents are beyond gnarly in a lot of spots. I have rode Highland rec in about 30 years ( on a Cannondale super v 900, I have a pivot 5.5 now. )

Trail anxiety is not fun. That trail is the knarliest one followed by Torn Shirt. Torn shirt would win if it had the same distance.
