I feel like monarch has a huge problem rn.. and it’s that it’s too weak in comparison to other traits Monarch really only gets the most out of it from units with 1 or 2 placement as if they get etereal or dead eye they won’t get as much value but for units with 3 placement yes it would still be valuable but etereal and dead eye offer more dps in comparison to monarch in that case… (Obito is an exception to this as his dot doesn’t stack) Some may argue “well monarch technically makes the total cost cheaper by a lot” and I would agree but.. placing multiple level 0 units is the most cost effective way to deal dmg and dps in this game so yes your units are overall cheaper to max out as their is only one but if you get etereal or dead eye than that level 0 unit spam is more cost effecient than it already was.. Another problem is shielded enemies which pop up quite often in paragon runs because shielded is the easiest modifier as you just have to place a multi hit unit or smt to make it way easier and it offers no additional buffs to the boss but when you have monarch it makes the “easiest modifier” harder to do which can lead to many problems.. Overall what I’m saying is monarch is just a really bad trait in comparison to dead eye and etereal even in story modes and such as there is so little value out of it in comparison to the other 2 An easy fix would be to add such features to monarch Shield penetration 10% additional buffs to units passives (yes this includes stun times too as monarch does make stun units worse but this is mainly to just strengthen units abilities) 15% extra aoe (this adds so much value to full aoe units as now they can accidentally hit enemies outside of the main units range) Anyway that’s how I feel about monarch and why I personally think it’s not great in comparison to other traits but I would love to see how u feel about and if u disagree as I would like to see various opinions on this before I truly decide if monarch would be a good or bad trait Thanks for reading

I didn't read it all cus im lazy but im gonna say that the issue is that with shields and spa being somewhat similar to all mythics that units just need more placement or multi hit so only having one placement really cooks the unit

This is pretty much how it goes for even ad, almighty gets hyped up a lot, but the thing there is, a lot of units have low placements of 2 or 3 ( ngl I still rather requiem for 3 placement units) but here atm monarch is pretty bad cuz every unit has a high placement

Shield is not the easiest modifier btw. Regen is. I went 25 regen cards in paragon, and the most they healed was like 2% hp per second, which might sound crazy, but all I did was bring an EPIC UNIT (inosuke) to COMPLETELY negate regen (bleed negates regen). Essentially making it a worthless 25 cards.
