Try automating different parameters in the synth basses or leads every 4 beats to get a slightly different result it often works for me (If u use FM a lot try automating the fm amount)

I'm curious why you wouldn't recommend making a track in C? Is it because of the fundamental bass note being either too low or too high? It's just seems like a strange rule to me because different synth sounds sound best in different ranges... but I suppose you want to have your subs in a specific range?

Track is great but I think it’s more entertaining to see the progress/explanation of the beat before it plays. All the little things you throw in are more noticeable after being explained how you came to that idea and is more appreciated imo. 🔥

What's wrong with making a bass heavy track in C ? In a time of synths, EQs and equal temperament it shouldn't matter, especially if you aren't recording vocals. Maybe it could make a difference for people with perfect pitch but there are so few it doesn't really matter.

It's because in the subbass range, C is a note that's either going to have to be quite high, losing a lot of energy, or so low it can barely be heard. So when you're making a heavy track that stays on one note for the majority of the drop (like this), you generally don't want it in C.
