Many people just say Capcom used previous assets as you normally could not see down the road but I believe whole heartedly he somehow survived and made it back. It is also believed that Rose is like Eveline as far as the rapid aging process goes. I do not think Rose ages as rapidly as Eveline (12 year old to like 80 year old in only 3 years) but I wanna say some years have passed for Rose to be a teen. Hopefully more answers will come with the DLC

@@Matt-ot3lw I seriously doubt the Rose's epilogue segment at the end is gonna factor heavily into the next few games, given new Resident Evils (sans Remakes) usually take place at concurrent point in time to when they come out and based on how Rose looks in it, that epilogue would have to take place in the late 2030s at the earliest, unless her powers cause her to age/grow ten times faster than normal person, or something. Also personally I kinda hope that thing about would-be Ethand walking by the car at the very end was just something to the effect of discreet sendoff moment for him; I feel two games of Ethan no-face Winters was quite enough of him.

I think after resident evil 4 this is my favorite one so far in all the other resident games u just fight the same boss over and over again but this actually had different bosses different enemies which made it so fun and diverse and storywise it was so good as well in others it's just mostly about the virus and trying to stop whatever that's related to it but this one was just not that it also showed where everything got tied together and history of umbrella and potentially made a new heroin for the franchise reminding me of like celementine from walking dead which is rose i hope they come up with great stuff for that i always love when the games build into showing a character and watching them develop as it goes it just makes it even more fun

What I really love about some of these boss fights, is some of the inspiration Capcom pulled from. I can clearly see Fatal Frame, 2 and 3's final boos fight in Resident Evil's Miranda boss fight with the black and white section, along with some call backs to RE 4's final boss fight with the Miranda's spider form. The 1st boss fight is kind of Dark Souls and another game, the 2nd is a throw back to dolls, Silent Hill PT style horror game, the 3rd similar to RE 6's Chris campaign final boss fight and some other, and the fourth was just transformers and also Ghosthunter PS2, but after this boss fight the entire game's theme shifted from horror into action pretty abruptly.

RE7 was a perfect balance. People complaining that a horror game is too "scary" should just not play horror games. Resident Evil lost its way in the past with over the top action and they finally went back to their roots winning their fanbase back. While I enjoyed this game, I feel like they took out too much of the tension. Only relatively scary part was the baby monster.

yeah i definitely preferred RE7, but that’s a personal taste thing more than a statement on either game’s objective quality. RE8 was far more theatrical and camp-y, which is fine, but i definitely preferred the lo-fi, isolated, gross atmospheric horror of the baker house. i also (and i know this is a *very* controversial opinion) found the baker family far more compelling than any of the lords. they were just more interesting to me and obviously far scarier, which i personally like out of a boss - the only scary part in 8 was the giant foetus. plus the whole chris section just felt like a combo of the worst parts of RE6 and CoD zombies which...no. RE8 was objectively a very good game and i definitely enjoyed it, but it wasn’t really what i wanted out of a sequel to 7, i guess. it felt like a step back in some ways. but then again i really loved ethan’s character development and personality upgrade, and it was great to see his story through (even though i cried like a baby at the end). as a big fan of him as a character i definitely appreciated that.

@@Plasmacat1 well they’re a horror technique, so technically they are horror. but that wasn’t the extent of what made 7 scary. the sequence in eveline’s room perfectly exemplifies what made 7 scary - the lack of any proper music, just freaky ambient noise, the dark, dank atmosphere, the feeling of helplessness and that you were constantly being watched, the absolute nightmare-fuel that was the D-series corpse...i could go on, really. the initial jack chase sequence wasn’t scary because of the wall jumpscare (although that was horrifying), it was scary because of the helpless atmosphere, the music, the fact that all you could really do was hide and hear him stomping about and taunting you. RE8 on the other hand, with the exception of the beneviento house, was just......you have lots of guns and there’s some slightly scary looking zombie-wolf things. none of the lords were scary either - lady d was generic sexy vampire, heisenberg looked ripped straight out of bloodborne, etc. marguerite’s long arms and hive crotch though? no thanks.

That was so creepy. The doll which looked like Mia on the table played Into Ethans trauma of losing his wife. I think psychological horror done right is amazing.

After all of the previous RE playthrough, Marz still: 1. Want to hoard but can't be bothered to open the map to check if the place is marked red or not 2. 2 fact can confirm they notice about ethan infected by mold (in re7) 1. On dinner jack cut off one of the Lucas hands and during the story we see Lucas with two hands again ( like ethan after mia cut off his hand with saw) 2. In dinner when ethan resist to not eat food , the margaret react is interesting ( like he must eat that food after he infected by mold) Margaret : he's not eaten jack he's not eaten ( with surprise voice tun)

1:24:47 Fitting that a big theme of both 7 and 8 is family since Ethan, a loving family man had to save his wife Mia in 7 and daughter Rose in 8 and had to deal with Jack, Margeurite and Zoe Baker who'd once been a good family warped by Eveline's control into monsters who didn't want to do what they did but couldn't stop themselves regardless. Not counting Lucas since he was an evil psychopath before he was infected and killed a kid by luring him up to his attic and leaving him up there to die of starvation or thirst and probably killed more people long before Eveline turned up. And when she came along he wasn't even infected long because The Connections who created her along with Miranda gave him something to free him from her control but allow him to keep the powers her mould gave him. Then there's Miranda the mother from hell who basically turned, Alcina, Heisenberg, Moreau and Donna into monsters and manipulated them into believing she considered them family when really they were only potential vessels for her daughter Eva's mind to her and discarded them when they failed because of the blood disease Alcina had before infection making her have to drink blood to survive, Moreau's experimentation deforming his body and mind making him childlike and Donna's insanity. Miranda and the lords were only "family" in the "cult leader calls his or her followers family to make them think they care about them" way.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who was sad about Ethans death. I thought he really progressed as a character. Also, I wish someone had told you that you could give your meat to the Duke as you collected it to unlock the recipes. And if you upgraded your guns fully, you can unlock unlimited ammo. You'll need it if you do VoS difficulty. Loved this Marz!

@@jibbily27 he is anti thesis to other RE characters, a silent hill protagonist in RE game. He also signifies First Person Perspective and series moving away from 20 year old lore and characters people loved, he is hated for that however in all honesty he is easily one of the best protagonist of the franchise and after 8 is actually adored by majority. He pretty much rescued the Entire franchise after the colossal failure of 6.

@@jibbily27 They just didn't like him much cause he was just an average guy with very personal stakes rather than being larger than life 'Hero' with ties with the larger lore. In 7 it also seemed like Capcom wasn't sure if they wanted him to be his own character or self insert persona for player. Yes, he is liked by alot of people after 8 cause 7 brought many newcomers and for them he is the MC and after 8 many people got attached to him but he is still somewhat polarizing. People either love him or they just can't tolerate him and their is very little middle ground.

Hated to see Ethan die but it was expected. RE has so many other key characters like Leon, Chris, Jill, Claire, so maybe the next game we will control Chris like in RE5 to finish BSAA.

You just need to listen to the instructions more carefully because they are usually giving hints and not just rambling for no reason, so you wouldn't end up running around in a dead zone. And there really is no point to saving ammo if you have so much of it.
