The hulls lost some pressure because when you put it in the water the air temperature dropped inside the chambers. Maybe finish inflating it with the boat in the water.

yes, I think you're right.

Or over inflate at the start - and yes for the small investment of a portable / rechargeable electric pump (which has a pressure gauge) is a good idea.

Yeah, on the German minicat website it's recommended to do at least 0,3 bar instead of the 0,25

Please make more exploring videos! Like you said you live in lefkas and never been there! Inflatable cat is perfect for daily adventures. You can equip it with a small electric outboard (trolling motor) and a battery, it will save you from a lot of effort!

If I may. I have a couple questions/video ideas… I heard you say on a podcast that your wife is a nurse. Mine is as well. Does she sail with you? Could you make a video about taking your partner sailing or a friend or a first timer sailing. Someone important to you that you’d want to hopefully get interested in sailing too? And a video about sailing watches. I always wear a watch and there’s so many options for gps, timers, etc for watches. What do you like? Thanks again man!

Thanks for the ideas. I'll see what I can do. Cheers

Strava - if you have anything that can connect to Strava and hence watch is waterproof I believe that’s your best option. It has a ‘sailing’ option to record in knots etc. plus the added benefit of the Strava community and setting segments for others to best etc.

Great choice if you're wanting to cover more distance on the downwind. I haven't tried one on mine - and - it wouldn't have worked on this trip as it seemed to be upwind both ways!!

Ok Joseph, this seals the deal, you are definitely just a little nuts ! I loved your adventure to the cave. At least you did not try to sail the thing to the Bahamas ! Kinda like my recent adventure of circumnavigating Hilton Head Island. You coulda brought the pump with ya in case u needed a little more air in the hulls. Great job. Thanks for the video.

I made the same experience with my rubber dinghy. You can inflate it 'till you think it wil nearly burst. But soon as it's in the water you may think there is a leakage. So it will always be a compromize.

I think the pressure is very important for a comfy quality sail on an inflatable. How about a small litium battery with airpump to keep the pressure perfect at all times?

@@JoyriderTVI sailed a Tornado before and then an A-cat. But I am 70 now and wanted to sail larger distances solo and with more safety and shelter for myself. Very difficult to choose another cat or tree when you know a Tornado and an A-cat.
