This past May, I was visiting my son. I was walking my little dog when I saw a puppy on the sidewalk alone. No owner around. She let me pick her up. She was so tiny. I don't live in the area, so I had no idea who the owner was. I took her to my son's neighbor to see if she knew who the owner was. Thankfully, she did. She took her back home. She also told the owner he shouldn't allow her to roam around on her own because she's a baby. He also said that her roaming around would teach her how to take care of herself. I didn't find that out till later. I was so angry that he had that nonchalant attitude. Some people just don't deserve fur babies. What you did for that sweet baby was so wonderful. You are a hero. Happy she's with her family. I would have done the same. Bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Oh Amanda bless your heart. So glad you rescued that poor baby. She seemed so sweet. I too have worked in animal rescue. The dog looked well cared for & had ID. Thank God they found the owner! You are an angel. We keep our fenced yard gates locked as sometimes utility workers etc will get in your backyard & just leave the gates open like idiots. Bless you Amanda. Hi Wynston. I’m like you. I did what you did, minus the rain, which makes it worse. I’m glad that they finally helped you. It pains me to see you get upset and I’m sorry you had to go through this. I’d be frustrated too. I think that’s why people don’t want to help when they see pets on the road, they usually don’t help. I can’t understand why people are so heartless. You should feel some comfort, because if it weren’t for you, she probably would have been hit. I know shelters are on a tight budget, but that’s what they are supposed to be doing. At least she was microchipped. That alone should have been enough to take her in and figure it out later. It’s not like they were going to get another dog dropped off the same day. You are the best thing that happened to Lila. And she knew it. That’s why she went towards you. I helped a chihuahua that was in the center lane of a 4 lane busy main road. I blocked the two lanes and honked to alert traffic. She just waited for me to approach her. Thank god she didn’t try to run away. I was so afraid of that happening. Actually it happened again and that time they saw me and were driving to look for him (senior dog). Precious animals deserve better. Try to relax and enjoy the rest of your evening Amanda. Hugs to sweet Wynston.❤
