figuratively yes, thoughts of ending it in the past. A friend got through to me at my worst. Forever grateful to them

Someone did once save my life when I was ten or so. One day, me my Brother, and my Dad went to a beach that was quite popular. I jumped off the dock a lot, but because I couldn't swim, I only jumped off the lower parts. Suddenly, while going to jump off one of the shallow parts again, someone called my name. Turns out It was someone I knew from my class (this was during summer break). They were hanging out with a group of older girls, and they asked if they wanted me to swim with them. I did accept, but said that I didn't want to swim with them, just hang out with them. They were all persistent though, and kept saying things like, "Are you scared?" or something else like that, and the persistence obviously made me nervous. But no matter how much they persisted, I nicely said no, and said that I just wanted to watch them. I did not say that I couldn't swim out of nervousness or anxiousness that I would be made fun of because obviously you should be able to swim by this age. This was because I saw online on a comment that they couldn't swim, and they were then criticized for not being able to swim. I obviously didn't want that. The girls later on stopped, and they continued to canon-ball off the dock. When I wanted to look at something I saw far distance, I walked closer to the deep end to see. Turns out I was mistakend to be wanting to canon-ball, so one of the girls pushed me in the water. I struggled for air, as I was drowning, but one random lady came, and saved me. After being saved I said thank you to the lady, and right after that, asked my Dad to leave and we did. I will forever be greatful to the lady who saved me. She was really nice. Later on, after summer-break, the friend apologized to me, and explained that we was far-off, and did not see me drowning. I forgave her, and she is still my friend to this day.

How did he get back to his boat? He jumped in the water and swam to shore with the guy he rescued.
@nicolejones36864 ай бұрын
Good point, but I’m sure he wouldn’t jump off the boat if there was no way to get back. Maybe it did go away and he knew where it was to get it. Or maybe he docked it somehow before he jumped into the water. Or maybe the boat have been in a place close to the shoreline. The author said that it took Oli 2 minutes to drag Isaac back to the shore 🤔 There are many factors that come into play, of course the author wrote the story 😅😂
