Important thing to remember with Aven interrupter: it plots the enemy spell. This means they can now only play it as a SORCERY. I ran into an opponent who forgot this fact, they Aven interrupter-ed my Elspeth's Smite, then played around me using that card, but Elspeth's smite just does not function anymore once it is sorcery speed only (effectively just exiled, as it has to target an attacking or blocking creature, which never exist at sorcery speed).

What a deck. It just got me to mythic in a breeze, and I usually miss mythic entirely. It's satisfying and deceptively strong. Makes you appreciate aven interrupter, gobakhan invasion and anointed peacekeeper a lot, but especially interrupter. For some extra spice I prefer Lost Jitte over Steel Seraph, but that's just me. Also the mana base could use a copy of lupinflower village (foundries I found kind of weak ngl). It's useful as a last resort kind of thing... it's not going to hit every time, but it can find interrupters and bunnicorns at basically no drawback. And I added one plains over the ossification because I wanted to hit 5 mana for the virtues more reliably, nobody's gonna read all that.

While you’re on your aggro kick I would love to see your take on a mono green deck, to me it feels a lot better this set with the new innkeeper’s talent and the hunter’s talent. Really revived mono green for me. My version is a lot of early aggression with Adative amalgamations, valley mist callers, pawatch recruits, keeneye curators, quiron beastcallers and so on, good mana dumping into the talents and fountainports, then I’ve got the 3 mana vigilant that makes map tokens, the scrap shot guy to wother snipe enchants and artifacts or just be a 3 mana 4/4 with reach, and just a few more later game drops like the ferroxes with deathtouch and haste, if you’ve leveled the hunter talent he just has haste, death touch and trample lol. Lots of fun, it’s mostly an aggro deck but the counters and trample make it get stompy fast.

Problem with mono green is sunfall. If the most popular sweeper didn't exile I think it would be better. I think you are better off with simic with a few counter spells to protect your board

@@danielstein8769 that’s true ive been stomped by sunfall before. I am only playing in gold but i got hit by a sunfall that incubated for 8 yesterday and atill pulled through with the win after. Top decked the 4 drop backup 1 guy that lets you look at the top of your library when you do combat damage to a player, and he was like 18/17 trample the turn I played him lol. Definitely loses some matchups but I’ve out aggro’d mono red with it and I love watching their brains explode when they want to shock my guys but they all have ward 1 and paw patch recruits distribute counters because they targeted my guys. The exiles really do hurt beast caller though.

mono green is rough. I've tried several variations, none better than 46% winrate. Adding red or white vastly improves it, and it just folds to all types of control and is too slow and not wide enough to stop mono red or boros. Losing Kodama basically destroyed any chances of it being competitive. That said, it's still fun the rare chances you can luck into an okay matchup to get big beefy boys.

With Interrupter, I wonder how a boros or jeskai skys\flying matters deck would work. Interrupter, phoenix chick, mesa falcon... There are options. Nice thing about boros is after a couple rounds of your flyers attacking, you can fling a fireball in thier face.

It's not, it has a learning curve. I'm an average player and I went from diamond 2 to mythic 95% and since then climbed to 98%. If anything this is one of the strongest decks I've played with in a while. In bo1

@@jake4179 think whatever you want. I played like 30 games with it and had like a 40% win rate. I get what the deck is trying to do, but it just doesn't work well unless you get extremely lucky and your opponent has a bad hand.

Meaning more than 25% of the cards in the deck affect the effectiveness of sweepers. You sure the deck is the problem here?
