What he needs to do is this. 1. Say nothing to his wife yet. 2. Consult a lawyer and a financial expert and get advice about his options. Divorce Separation Reconciliation What the financial implications are. 3. Get evidence of her cheating and the extent his mom or anyone else has been involved. 4. Find as much as possible about Affair Partners. When you confront her or have her served make it clear if she wants a fight she'll get one. All her family, friends, workmates will get the evidence you have. Expect blame shifting you or someone else will be blamed for her cheating. Expect tears, maybe threats, worthless apologies, requests for a second chances etc. Decide what you want to do that's best for you and stick to your plan. THE WOMAN YOU FELL IN LOVR WITH NO LONGER EXISTS. She vanished the moment she cheated the first time.

Ok I hope people reads the comments before listening to the stories it will save you a lot of time that you can't never get back. The title is a complete lie. He did not see a message from his mom asking his wife if he was better than her son. Plus this is a old story that has been rewritten so they don't face copy writes infringements law suits. This is an extremely lame story. It's lameness begins with the message from the mother that teases you in never actually happens. The story attempts to increase the sense of exposure and instability by having the protagonist's own parents more or less betray him on some pretext of being "close" to the cheating wife and then also making the home that the protagonist and the cheating wife live in belong to the parents so even the protagonist's living situation is not secure. No genuine or believable explanation for the parents utter lack of loyalty to their own son when his wife was clearly maneuvering to cheat on him is ever really given beyond the idea that the mother "views her as the daughter she never had" as if that would justify the mother pulling the rug out on the son she ACTUALLY has. Wouldn't listen to it if I had known any of this ahead of time. Very lame.
