You know what's also a good way to scare them off? Mention anything yaoi xD I know its not as good as sonic impressions but it works xD So I figured this out at Iberanime Lx 2017 (its a Portuguese convention that tbh isn't that good). I was cosplaying, probably, as Nagisa Shiota but it doesn't really matter. So this guy goes around doing these "interviews" that are just basically stupid questions to make you uncomfortable and ends up asking me. After a few of these lame perverted questions he asks "So have you seen or participated in any hentai?". I, as to be expected, am going "WTF" in my head decide this is a good answer: "I only like it when it is just guys." This resulted in him making a face and going away xD Me and my friends laughed a good while at this.

Not impressions but I love science so the first time I ever cosplayed as a girl (instead of crossplaying) I was 15 and all these people wanted my photo and it was all chill but I noticed more guys were trying to talk to me but it was fine until my friends and I were chilling in a hallway and this like... sweaty middle aged neckbeard in a Bloodborne cosplay starts hitting on me for like half an hour and it escalates from him saying he liked my cosplay to "yeah so my friend cancelled on me last minute and it's pretty cold in the room now that I'm alone if you know what I mean *eyebrow wiggle*". "Have you tried turning up the thermostat?" "Well, um-" Up till that point I played dumb (first major creep) but then I just got sick of it and: "scientifically speaking, due the the geographical location of the hotel room and the weather patterns of Vancouver..." I went on like a 5 minute spiel and when I finished I just cocked my head and smiled. He went to say something, stopped, and turned and walked away as fast as he could. My friends stay close to me now specifically for these kind of encounters. Not out of worry, but out of seeing the face of defeat of strange creeps.

Lol I had a similar situation but I wasn't at a con. I was testing out my Princess Peach cosplay and I decided to walk around town with my friends and I noticed this one guy who was like following us everywhere and it was really creepy lol so I said something to my friends and we didn't know what to do because we are too nice to turn around and tell them to stop. We kept walking but we stopped to get coffee and the guy went there also so when we sat down I started doing Mario Character impressions and he left and we didn't see him again :'D

I have many a creeper story from when I was still female-presenting, not just con experiences, but just fucking walking down the street, yo. Like, some of the worst experiences I've had were the times I was attending Green River Community College up in Auburn, Wa and I was taking public transportation all the time. I think the worst experience I had was this one night I was trying to get home and I was super fucking tired after a long day at school. I was still traveling by bus from Auburn to Lakewood, which is like a two to three hour bus trek with three transfers minimum-- it sucked a lot lol. I was on my second to last bus, I think, and I was sitting toward the front, I think, and this guy gets on. The bus wasn't completely empty, but it wasn't incredibly crowded, either-- he literally could have sat anywhere else. But, for whatever reason, he decides to sit down next to ME and just. Start a conversation. And, ok, I'm usually pretty whatever about talking to strangers on the bus. It's a little weird most of the time, but not necessarily uncomfortable. But this was suuuuuper uncomfortable. Like, this guy sat right next to me when he could have sat pretty much ANYWHERE else, unnecessarily invading my space. And I don't really remember him even asking? He might have, I was tired and it was years ago now, but I don't particularly recall him asking permission to sit next to me. But even if he did, he just gave me this vibe like he would have sat there regardless of my response. But, anyway, he sits next to me and he immediately starts asking me questions. And he had a thick Jamaican accent, which isn't to say anything about his ethnicity at all it was just a little difficult for my privileged white ass from understanding him, so I had to ask him to repeat himself a few times (which I always feel bad about doing, but what can you do). He asked me things from my name, what do I do, basically fishing for information on me. He introduced himself, too, but I've forgotten his name. I didn't really care to remember. What struck me most was when he asked if I had a boyfriend and I told him no, I had a girlfriend (because I did at the time) and I wasn't interested in guys. I don't know WHY I said that because I KNEW even then that that was NOT a thing to say to dudes trying to get your interest because that, for some fucking reason, just makes them even more interested in you. But I was tired and I hate hate hate lying about my sexuality, even if it is for my own safety you know? So I let that slip, and this guy grew even more verbally aggressive in trying to "win me over," I guess. He told me, "Oh but the reason you're not into guys is because you just haven't dated the right one. Go out with me and I'll show you a good time." I mean, not verbatim but that's a very summed up version of our conversation. And I was just super uncomfortable and I felt friggin paranoid like. Is this guy going to stalk me now and try to do some shit to me like? How could I fuck this up so bad? LUCKILY, he didn't but soon as I got to the bus station, I bolted as fast as my tired little legs could take me. I was super scared for the rest of my trip home that night, though, and it was awful. But in those kinds of moments, you just don't know what to do or to say, you just freeze up. And all my efforts to rebuff him were deflected, so you just sit there wondering what's the point? Is someone going to step in and shake this guy off me, or they all just lost in their own little world, not aware of what's going on? Sadly, that isn't the only instance I felt unsafe or harassed in my time traveling to and from places via public transportation, but that is definitely one of the worst instances I've experienced personally.
