My guess for the bloating during airplane rides is that the gases contained in the sparkling water and champagne expand due to the lower air pressure in the cabine This would also explain the farts

shucking oysters can be dangerous, a good way to lessen the danger is to let the oysters soak in a bowl of water. after they soak for like 2-3 min(maybe longer depending on the oyster and water temp) the oyster opens up just enough to make shucking easy enough to use a butter knife. though using a sharper knife and or screwdriver would work better (depends on what feels comfortable). i hope this helps with future oyster shucking.
