good video, i been looking to see what people are doing because my camera viewfinder is scratched up and i think ill take a dremel buff-wheel to it now. I bet if you kept going you could get it all the way out.

I dont know if i would have done that work myself, but i would have removed, or at least taped off the aluminum bezel insert. Regardless you are more brave than me.

Just got mine serviced at RSC and had a replacement crystal installed due to" discoloration ". The new one does not have a crown or an S .

Hey, similar situation. What do you mean crown or an S? the crystal doesnt have any print on it...
@cOMM4ND3R2 ай бұрын
No 'S' is understandable but no crown etching is a bit dubious. Are you 100% certain ?

hi there. awesome video. please let us know which exact paste you used? i have an older movado watch that is very sentimental to me and i would love to remove the scratches. i believe my movado is sapphire crystal. thanks in advance.

@@ChrisMarshall1978007 many thanks - did you manage to buff the scratch out fully? I cannot find the other video you mentioned you made to see the end result. Please can you share it. Thanks 👌🏻

@@ChrisMarshall1978007 sadly it did not work at all on my 2034 sapphire crystal. It must have worked with yours because it’s an older model? I have to replace the entire sapphire crystal. Thanks - was worth trying.

@@ChrisMarshall1978007I’m convinced my wife’s Diamond ring inadvertently scratched the crystal on one of my watches, which I used to wear to bed. I no longer wear a watch when I sleep for this reason.

I scratched mine as well from a seatbelt knicking the glass.

It can happen, have seen I many times. That’s why I always prefer plexi whenever I can. That way it’s usually super easy to polish out. If cracked it can also easily be replaced.
