Bit late to this video. I have a 208k mile E34 520i manual, love it to bits. Paid £500 for it 6 months ago, and while it’s awful on fuel, mechanically and electronically it’s perfect. Never want to get rid of it. Incredibly comfy, and I actually really like the steering. After spending most of my time behind the wheel of new boring cars, 30y/o steering is actually much better, weighty but not so heavy that it becomes a chore. Handles great, sounds great, pulls hard, and everything works! E34’s are generally very reliable so, you must have gotten unlucky with yours, but I do desperately want a touring, preferably one of the 6-cyls, and if anyone has one let me know! 😅

My friend tracks his E34 535i constantly, and with M5 sway bars + coilovers + camber plates it keeps up with much faster and newer cars. Hopefully getting it resprayed this year, maybe at end of summer. And last but not least going to get the piston and piston rings replaced with new ones and the valves also. But she is a project and people seem to admire it when they see it which makes it feel very worth while. 77k on the clock. Currently swapping the driveline of my delphin 535i to a low mileage motor with 5speed and LSD... I would KILL for a touring with all of that already in place! Great buy, excellent car. Very jealous.

Nice project man! I’m in the process of restoring a ‘95 525i. Lovely old cars but it’s always something with them haha. You have the wheels I want for mine.. from an E31 840Ci!

Loved my E34 touring. Coincidentally I moved it on when it was on 178k and all the electrical woes and creeping rust became too much of an issue. The electric windows always break too because of the stupid nylon clips that don’t last.

Great car and you were driving on my route to work. I hope you lobbed it around the corners on the A40 up through the trees. Love that section.

I did an LED changeover for headlights on my 2004 Jag, huge difference and made night driving fun again!

Re-bush the suspension, it’ll transform the handling. The E34 is a good handling car when sorted.

I miss my 1994 e34 530i v8 automatic saloon. Body without rust, low kilometer, never crashed, have no engine issues. One problem that I faced was only the master brake that was leaking because the previous owner used atf power steering oil, while the oil that should have been used was chf11. but I had to sell it last year because it wasn't suitable for me who had to work every day and use the car because very bad gas consumption in city driving

Bought a low mileage mint 1990 520i about 7 yrs ago for £300. Its beige with a brown dash and a more recently implanted m52 from an e36. Standard they are very dialled in and tight, even the non sport ones. Keep at it, she's a bit shit at the minute but will be a beaut when alls sorted. Totally worth it 🤘

From the era of last of the "great" beemers, made like tanks with superb engines. I owned one of these 15 years ago, just under 100k and it's still the best daily driver ever with a good amount of poke for the size.

My e92 had a visit to the garage on Monday, the Airbag and restraint system stopped working. They had to drain 4 inches of water from the battery area. Solid German, faultless build quality for you.

Hey Guys, I kept 1994 model of the E34 touring for nearly 10 years. I bought it in its 11th year. I just loved this Baby, 5 speed, straight 6 cylinder, I travelled the entire Ghana with it. I bought an e39 touring, which I keep now since the past 5 years, but I REGRET selling the E34. Im looking forward to the E61...hope to enjoy it.
