I didn’t mention this in my reaction because it didn’t take away my enjoyment of the episode itself but I guess we gotta talk about the elephant in the room being that a lot of this episode during the match portion kinda felt like a slideshow😂…it’s not a deal breaker at all for me but I do hope they improve on the animation I still enjoyed this episode though😁

I mean, if a show is going to use a lot of still shots, it'd definitely be Blue Lock's overly analytical soccer, where it's more of a chess game, with lots of moving pieces doing very specific soccer techniques. Besides, the new colored lighting and shading of this season are pretty good, so I don't mind if it's not super fast and smooth at all times, as I'm not getting lost on the puzzle Isagi has to solve.

This season is looking like it's gonna be another fiasco. The art work improved, for sure. Good, vibrant colors.
