Excuse me. Can I join in please? Is this where the Tudor haters are living today? Do you own Rolexes? I imagine so. Anyway, this idea of poor QC is absolute rubbish. Just haters grabbing any stick to beat the younger brother with. I had 3 Rolexes in a row that had big problems. The OP was so bad, that I got an independent report done, and served the dealer with legal papers. Their settlement was a replacement Pepsi! Of course that wasn't reliable either. So Rolex owners who spend their time trying to sh!t on nice people who bought a Tudor. Why are you doing this? Really ask yourself this question. If you are honest with yourself, you will realise what an @rse you have been. Be positive, and be happy for other people in their watch choices, even if their choice is a £500 plastic Swatch copy.

Be thankful it's not a Breitling. My, then 9 month old Chronomat (purchased May 2022) stopped manually winding in February 2023. Sent the watch off and was quoted 10-12 weeks... 25 weeks later the watch was back in my possession and working as well as it should. Fast forward 11 months to late June 2024 and... you guessed it same failure. Took it back to the boutique and was quoted 6 months. I contacted customer service and explained that the original failure took twice as long as anticipated and the 'fix' failed after less than a year. Their response, in essence, 'sorry, it is what it is'.

I've had a few Tudors, so I'll add my experience here. First had one of the OG Pelagos ETA models which I picked up used. Worked great and I used it as a beater tool watch. One day while swimming, a bump against the pool edge knocked out one of the lume markers. I eventually took it to the RSC who replaced the bezel without charge despite the watch being well outside the warranty period. Continued enjoying it until I eventually sold it. Bought a FXD MN22 brand new from duty free. That has been great, zero issues with the watch. Only the velcro on the strap has become useless after regular use which is a common complaint. Tudor has since updated it with stronger velcro as used on the newer models, but they will not replace the old strap. Oh well, it's better on a Watch Steward strap anyway. Still love this watch. Recently briefly had ownership of a BB Monochrome. No issues with that either, great build. But it was also hideously boring and I traded it on quickly. I guess all that to say, the same conclusion: nothing's perfect.

Oh dang my dad just got his Pelagos back because the lume fell out of the bezel. The AD said "oh we've never seen this before"... then there's my Black Bay, that came with ink from the dial, on the dial where it shouldn't be. I haven't bothered sending it back, it requires a loupe to see but its there. Yeah their QC sucks IMO.

I really liked the watch but one day about two months in the crown came away in my hand when winding it up. It was promptly sent back to the dealer, who were excellent. The watch was sent back to the factory and after only about 2-3 weeks it came back to me complete with one of those small cream coloured Rolex boxes and a free Rolex green suede travel pouch. The watch was perfect again and I loved it. Tudor do make a good watch and as you say anything mechanical can go wrong or leave the factory when it should not.

I had to send back two Black Bays for flaws with the dial. In the first case, Tudor said it was within their tolerance of error, etc. In the second, they did concede to my AD that I was correct, but again said it was within an acceptable margin of error. On the one hand, I understand that nothing is perfect but when your product is a mostly machine-made simile for perfection I’m more inclined to say that Swiss watches should be near perfection. At least, aesthetically speaking, I understand that accuracy can’t be perfect and once you get into hand finishing that quality can also be affected…

I bought a brand new Aqua Terra from one of the NYC Omega Boutiques last year because everyone said it’s a perfect GADA watch and I wanted a GADA watch. 2 weeks later I realized that there was a gap between the 6 o’clock end link and the case which caused rattling when swinging my arm. I took it to another boutique that had an in house watch maker who said “sorry can’t do anything about it we don’t sell the end links separately so we can’t just swap it out for you”. I went back to my original boutique who sent it to an Omega service center, got it back 3 weeks later and they did nothing about it they said it was normal. Well, let's think about this. Rolex makes over a million watches a year and has to have an automated factory to do that. Tudor, its cheaper line has to be similarly automated to keep costs down with high production. Seems obvious to me that a set up is done for a production run is done and that if you require a new watch face you have to wait until they run that watch face again, or alternatively it takes a while to go through spare ones looking for one with no flaws for that sharp eyed customer with the magnifier. Wonder whether having such a popular web site prevented the "within acceptable tolerances" response?

I've considered a Pelagos a couple of times in recent years, and each time I was put off by QC concerns, that I wasn't even looking for. I'm sure they're rare, but I'm pretty sure they're rare when people wear their Tudor like their coveted Rolex they wanted, whereas I'd wear it like a Tag Heuer. Pretty sure the rate of issues would be higher for my usage. I dunno. For the money, there's lots of other stuff in the price bracket that I'm into. Don't want lume/bezels falling off, etc.

I really like Tudor but I had the same QC issue with a BB GMT. There were some metal looking splints under the sapphire glass. Who knows where they came from... The AD fixed it themselves within 20 minutes... sold the watch later on though. But come on... buying a luxury watch for big bucks and then getting these obvious dial issues like you had... IMO that's unacceptable. Even more so... to wait fking 4 months to get the watch back. I wouldn't deal with that shit. Anyway... hopefully everything is fine now with your watch. Can't deny... it looks great on your wrist man!

The “Better-Have-The-OG-Strap-On-The-Watch-For-Servicing” is some real BS price gouging policy.

I thought the Red Bull logos would be annoying, but they’re barely visible when on the wrist

When people are saying #MaMaCoo is a better option for buying a watch,I very much agree!

And to think people criticized the Ranger for not having applied markers (!)

I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MaMaCoo has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.

Tudor Pelagos bezel markers falling off is a big issue.

My 58 had a bit of gasket stuck to the crystal. They authorized someone else to remove it rather than send it in as they said it’d be 6-8 weeks - to essentially open the watch and puff air in the crystal.

That's luxury you should already understood

Makes me feel - a little - better about my Zenith Primero Original in for warranty work for past 2 months. However, these timelines are too long and only going to get worse when the glut of 2021-2022 watches start to need regular service.

Love knows no logic. You love your watch.

The worst part about this watch is the mismatch of dial color and the paint on the center of the hands... The center looks almost pure purple, while the dial is more navy. Really was it so hard to match this on a 5k watch? lol

Datewheel alignment off? Doesn't look centered with the 24 or the 6. Send it back again.

How have you been liking this watch? No one has done a 6 month of ownership review yet.
