Good video dude! I've been using nothing but silos for over 20 years in Alberta, and we have been extremely successful on both the guiding level and on a personal level. I quit guiding in 2009 and now we take friends, family, and newbies on "banger" hunts! I don't even own a full body or shell decoy anymore!
@tommclarty176 жыл бұрын
Bobby, you put out really good content. Can you do a drone video on silhouettes and really show whether they create the appearance of ‘movement?’ And don’t worry about the ad money ya get from KZbin for that video. I’ll get it from ya when I see ya. 😎

Awesome video, thanks for sharing. I have 10 doz Divebombs! Love them. We had a terrible early season, hard to find a good shoot population seems low. We had a heavy snow storm at the end of April, I feel we lost some nests. Looking forward to October!!!

Hey man. Great job on the channel. There's always more to learn. I hunt over silhouettes and full bodys. One problem I've found with silhouettes is that it's hard to get them in the ground after the ground freezes. Finding a corn stock to push the stake into work but came be time consuming. Do you have any tips for how to deal with that. As for the 2-3 in the kill zone walking in to feed we use our best upright full bodys. The silhouettes are only 1 dimensional so they kind of disappear when they're pointing in the direction to be walking in and the geese are flying in from behind them.

I’ve been hunting over silos for about 5 years now and I’ve sold most of my fullbody decoys, they kill birds. And just my thoughts but if you walk or drive around your spread like the birds will when they circle silos give the illusion of movement because when you get to 90 degrees on a silo it disappears for a second and then reappears. This gives your spread movement when nothing is moving at all

So no mixing in full bodies? They work all on their own without actual full bodies and silos mixed in? I always thought they were a filler but it seems some people are going all in on these and setting big spreads instead of smaller sets of full bodies. I hunt a lot of water and lately been into some field setups and thought of what I need to expand on what my hunting partner uses. He has gone Bigfoots for years but I would think throwing in 5 dozen of these bad boys would probably work like a charm.

@gordonhudson18366 жыл бұрын
love the video and I have a question. I have used the dive bomb silos the last 2 years that are not flocked and recently purchased some fullbodys from bulk decoy club that are flocked and to me when they r mixed together it looks really unnatural. I haven't got to run the mixed spread in the field yet to get the geese approval but just wondering your opinion on mixing the 2

I know it's a thin wire stake that should go in the ground fairly easy, but I am afraid that on those negative and zero degree days when the dirt is froze solid, you won't be able to get those things in the ground.
