I was quite sick 7 years ago and my energy has never completely come back. The doctors say I am fine and want to give me anti depressants. So exercise is very difficult. I do a bit but it kills me. I am your age. My blood sugar and cholesterol and blood pressure have gone up this year. I just don't know what to do anymore. I can't believe how much exercise you are able to do.
@AlternativeAgeing Жыл бұрын
Janet, this is so sad to hear and I don’t really know how to advise without knowing what the sickness was. But doctors always dish out the anti-depressants when they don’t know what else to do so I would suggest that you see a really good acupuncturist who can work on your energy levels (the good ones get rid of Long Covid!) and a nutritionist to help with supplements and diet to get you better and stronger. There is a lot that can be done if you see a complimentary therapist. I hope you can can do that for yourself because you really deserve to be much better than you sound and lifestyle and diet is a really good place to start. I hope you can find the right person to help you. Keep us posted. Where do you live? xx

Hello from Australia 🌻🌞 Just discovered your channel & really enjoyed your video. I wish I had some of your energy, I’ve got such good intentions when it comes to trying to get myself a bit fitter but I’ve got a chronic back problem which really limits me. I’ve tried seated exercises but don’t get very far as I haven’t got a lot of motivation. Coming out of winter here (which I hate) so now that it’s getting warmer I’ll feel more like getting into it again. One thing I really do love is makeup, OH & fashion, so will watch out for future GRWM videos from you. See you next time…💛🌼

Welcome to the vlog! I feel your pain. I try very hard but then I over do it (way too much walking on cobble streets in Faro has screwed my lower back temporarily) and have to rest for a week! Gently does it and any movement is better than nothing so at least you can get out again soon. I still think 10 minutes 3 + times a day is better than one big walk. Hope you Subscribed. I'm here every Sunday and there's always a bit of fashion and or make up etc. Send my love to Australia! x

Well impressed at your fitness level, it’s obviously all working especially your plank. Love your outfits. I discovered Elf a few months back, super quality and price. Totally get the energy slump, just some days you feel you need an indoor day. I think you are being hard on yourself, if you work working outside the home, you book a day’s holiday and relax at home but when you are at home all the time you have to give yourself permission to have a relaxed day. I actually really enjoyed this week vlog. 😊👍

I LOVED this Vlog. Thank you for showing us your exercise routine, I have taken note !! You have been soooo busy recently, you just need some time chilling at home. During covid I found Pilates at your Desk with the lovely Kerrie Anne (I don’t work at a desk) I now subscribe to her channel Move at your Desk MAYD and I do the standing moves or the short mat sessions, there are longer mat sessions and she does live sessions that you can join in with. She’s sooo lovely and very knowledgeable!! I’ve sooo enjoyed this Vlog and I want to live in that retirement park it looks absolutely wonderful!!! Impressed you can get up without using your hands, I will try that and also I would like to try using a trampoline. Tell me you are not feeding Jack raw chicken with bones? At his age he needs boiled, boneless chicken. I feed about 38 spayed community cats and boil and debone chicken to mix with their dry food because since Covid for some reason the price of canned food doubled. Leafy lane is very pretty. Have a great week.

I spoke with a trainer about an exercise regime and he said not to do them every day - couple of days off a week - I broke my femur in December which has wrecked my fitness - then discovered I had severe osteoporosis- you never know what’s going in in your body - gradually building up but really careful as I can’t risk an injury - depressing when I was really fit before

I started doing the light in the eyeballs a few weeks ago and in addition to that I've incorporated eyeball exercises, apparently good for the brain. Eyes side to side, then circles, and any direction I can think of. If you're looking for additional stuff to do or try out, I've incorporated the "acupressure mat and pillow" whilst I listen to subliminal suggestions (headband w. earphones). The mat is almost unbearable at first, and the pillow is worse (just have to place it in the crook of the neck), it's like being on a bed of nails. Next thing you know you're falling asleep on it. I can be on my back without a shirt but not for the rest of the body. My last tip is to walk backwards uphill, a lot of benefits, you just have to do a search. With all the routines we do, they almost take up the whole morning!

Please be careful when doing the rebounder for the first time. I came home after a four mile walk and went on my rebounder for the first time while I was nice and warmed up. Started very gently and made sure my form was correct as I was watching a YT video. I started to feel my knees a bit so decided to keep it short for a first day. Woke up the next morning with both my knees in severe pain. One week later after lots of rest and ice I’m still in pain…I will be making a doctors appointment this week. Just please be careful is all I’m saying!

i do wonder why folks doctors, nurses and all other medical folks .... don't they understand when you say something similar to what you got??! ...you kind of shake up a person, they get nervous and concerned ... my parents both have had medical chats and the folks just don't get it ... i mean are you dying? should you make plans? i mean i know dramatic but i am sure we can all sympathize or understand where you are coming from. something to be concerned by ...there sort of needs to be a scale or a way to say it kindly ... folks need to be healthy, wise and keep up feeling good into our older ages but come on now ... help us help you. i think that is the saying. you are always so fun. i wish you well on this new journey. Fabulous! I’m 70, self employed and work nonstop…HOWEVER, that is no excuse for not having an exercise routine. I’m the Queen of Excuses and I want to become Queen of ‘MOVING’ as you have so graciously shared. Take care and be sweet! ❣️❣️❣️
