fried potatoes are a welcome addition to break fast my experience says bake them by the dozen and fry them later ...Great source of fuel in the am terrible in the pm...

Nice! Might have to try that. So baking them and then frying them, does that change the flavor at all? -Jennifer

@@SmokyMountainOutpost for the better i think...cook the raw ingredients first and then place potatoes in the juices set their crust just perfect...they fracture less and soak up the flavors...

Would it not have been faster to run the logs through the sawmill for a tight more uniform fit? Cuts out the step of having to remove the bark . . .
@SmokyMountainOutpost2 жыл бұрын
He had thought about that in the beginning, but the logs were so crooked by the time he was able to get them “straight” he would have lost a lot of wood. -Jennifer

Yep , almost 3 years ago. “You need a retaining wall behind your house “ response “it’s slate rock no need” just saying.
@SmokyMountainOutpost2 жыл бұрын
Slate rock? We have shale. They are two different types technically. I think you are meaning shale though. It is not so much the shale has given away, it is more so the red clay dirt has broken down by being walked on often and from the rain. Of course erosion occurs naturally. It wasn’t something he figured he would need. We live and we learn. I don’t think it helped building the garden there and that could be one of the greater reasons erosion occured. Our previous 2 houses he built himself didn’t require one. Both were red clay/shale mix as well. I agree that you had a good idea! Thanks for following! -Jennifer
