I think that was a great idea. I think you nailed (well...actually welded) it. Beard vs. Stache - I too believe it is whatever works for you. I tried to go with just s stache once....won't do that again.

I've tried them all, but making a custom 3 point hay fork with a 2 5/16" ball on the top post to move gooseneck trailers and a 2" reciever on the main beam works best. Everything your hooking up too is in plain sight that way. I've done my share of damage to trailers using the front bucket method. Beard vs stache= as long as you're comfortable, that's what really matters. Stay Safe, keep us posted 👍👍

A good 3 point setup is definitely the best way to do it. I'll still probably make a draw bar setup for when I'm not hooked up to implements.

One more thing you could do is weld a J hook facing up on the hitch receiver so you can hook chains on to it for pulling odd things like big tree trunks or a neighbor's gazebo. You can also use that hook to attach the safety chains for added safety for whatever you're pulling....just in case the trailer slips off hitch ball.

A hook of some sort on the back would be a good addition.

Great idea! I was concerned you wouldn't be able to get the bucket low enough but you checked that out first thing. 😄 I vote to keep the mustache for a while anyway.

I ended up drilling a hole thru the bucket/torch a hole drop the ball in and when not in use remove it. My bucket wouldnt go low enough to use that theory

My tractor has a single/middle claw grapple on it 99% of the time and something always on the drawbar. I only put the bucket on when absolutely necessary. So I simply took the adjustable hitch ball welded on a thick flat plate with rounded end to on the drawbar and rig it up between the grapple claw and rake using the grapple bite power to hold the hitch jig in position.

Mustache looks good, I get it the summer heat suck with a beard. I keep the 5 o'clock shadow just cuz I'm 42yrs old and look to young clean shaved. Welds look good bro, for the 2 inch hitch u should get a hitch cover cap just incase so the dirt won't get in it. Bro I know I've been watching for years and love the content. Just keep living the dream good sir.

I appreciate you watching. The cover cap is a good idea. I hadn’t thought of that.

I did a reverse, had a Stache going on 55 years just grew a beard 4 months ago. More than likely going back to just the stache this summer. Well enough grooming talk lol. I am looking to do something similar on my 1969 JD. My concern is the stress on the extended rams. Looks like you did this about 18 months, did you run in to any issues? Good video 👍 # 71 Stay well, Joe Z

So far so good. I don’t put real heavy use on it but it’s holding up just fine. I figure if I can put 1000 lbs on a set of forks up front, moving an empty trailer should be fine

The heat is bad almost everywhere. Down here in AZ it s gonna be 111 today, if I had a beard it would have been shaved over a month ago.
