Cam was the only one that showed up on offense in that Superbowl. Not the line. Not the WR. Not Greg Olsen. Nobody. Some backup WR had the most yards. Ginn dropped a bomb down the sideline on 3rd down that would have put them in FG range and possibly lead to a TD. Cam got hit all game because the O-line couldn't block. Cam doesn't owe an explanation to anybody.

I've been a panther fan since the team came into the league and I was 11. I watched John Kasy shank the ball outta bounds in 2003, I watched us go 2-14 in 2010, watched the 2011 draft when the magic returned, watched that amazing season in 2015, watched your super bowl in the hospital on a crappy 24" TV the day after my son was born, was sad with you when it was over, saw you put your body on the line with every snap and I got 23 seconds, hit pause, and before resuming I had to say this, I was so glad you were a Panther. The moments of joy and jumping around watching you, smitty, stew, tolbert, teddy ginn, LUUUUKE, TD, KK, fun, Olsen, and all the boys through the years but especially that 2015 season is something I will cherish forever. Life is fickle, but I always appreciated you as our QB, keep your head up, and I just wanted to say I am so glad to see you thriving and having success in your ventures.

Carolina fan here since the expansion. NOBODY in CAR ever questions Cam's toughness EVER not even the whole fumble nonsense that the media blew up. As that play was happening, it was plain to see that by the time he even located the football the defender already dived at his shin area that's why he jumped back. He could've dived all he wanted on that ball, but he was not recovering that fumble. And that was not the play that cost them the game it's because Mike Remmer the RG could not contain Von Miller and he had a field day.
@zainghani71168 ай бұрын
I agree but carolina fans blame remmers all the time but I think he was a good tackle, its just that he went up against a great end and the coaching staff and cam should have made audibles to give remmers help. If we did not have all those turnovers we would have won by atleast 1 point

Its plays like that, where we know that a person who really has that dawg in them, like Cam showed he had, doesnt do something like dive on a fumble; that keeps the rigged suspicions alive. Cam ran toward the ball trying to scoop it trying to save the play instead of just diving and the lineman batted it under his leg at the same time as one of his own guys dove. He jumped out of the way of the pile and got his hands on the ball briefly and the crush of players knocked it loose. The mistake was trying to save a play that had already gone way off the rails.

The guy in charge of blocking Von Miller was Nate Chandler at RT. Nate Chandler was a DT the year before. He was about to be cut in training camp but we had zero RT’s. The former RT was the atrociously bad Byron Bell. He was moved to LT because Jordan Gross retired and Bell “is left handed so LT is a more natural position for him.” Cam had the worst OT’s ever for that entire year. He succeeded in spite of the OL. In this game he could not. I can’t imagine how frustrated he must have been. Jericho Cotchery Corey Brown Ted Ginn jr Devin Funchess Brenton Bersin That was his WR’s Greg Olsen was injured so he didn’t have a TE. Jonathan Stewart got hurt in the 2nd qtr so only HB’s were rookie Camron Artis Payne and old mike tolbert the FB.

That whole “5 plays” theory is like saying the 9ers lost because Christian Mccaffrey fumbled. If you want to look at it that way, you can connect those dots, but honestly, there’s more to the story than that 1 play. Similarly, there’s more to every other football game than the 5 plays you want to base the result off of…
