Nicholas and Eleanor BOTH knew. and Ziva saw it ... which was the primary reason she told Nick to stop being a wuss & tell Eleanor. but, even so ... Nicholas and Eleanor both knew how the OTHER felt too. even PRIOR to them being locked in those cells early in S18 (episode 5, i think). the problem was ... they waited too long to explore what they knew.
