My big tough farmer husband had tears in his eyes. 33 yrs of marriage I've only seen my husband cry once when he lost his mother. This book is very different from what he normally reads. We've been counting down to this episode since we saw Granger in Boston and saw him pull out the Smiths camera during our M&G. The show and everyone we talked to - Todd, Chris, Ben - were amazing (and we got Paul to smile at us while he was running camera during the show!) and we were so looking forward to reliving the high. Even better, we saw we made the episode giving our kiddos a shout-out. I'm curious if London had clam chowder or seafood chowder - it didn't look like our typical New England clam chowder! Either way sorry she didn't like it - maybe in the future. ❤

Got my book (signed copy) on Tuesday evening and I started reading it that day and finished it Wednesday. It was powerful. I many times wanted to reach through the book and hug you Granger. But I realized that you are in a better spot. Not saying that you still don’t have some days where you struggle BUT your story is powerful. Thank you for being so vulnerable. It honestly kind of helped me with some of my struggles, at least to see things through a different lens.

Lot of what you talk about helps with the loss of my baby brother in 18..but i still have awlful dreams of him falling over from an aneurysm n he was braindead..we waited 3 days to pull the plug..i didn't want him tg but he was already in Gods hands..God Bless you're family..please pray for me ❤

I have ADHD and can’t focus on reading a book. Actually can’t stand reading. Last Friday I was in Barns and Noble and grabbed your book and caught myself AFTER chapter 1 and reading all the pictures and the back. WELL it came home with me. 🛑 def should read ! The craziest thing is when I ordered this book it was to understand how a parent gets thru losing a child well while the book is in process of delivery I get the call every mother prays to never get.. my 27 yr old daughter Lexi had passed unexpectedly with no warning( so she was sent for autopsy & results can take up to 3 months) she also had two beautiful children ages 2&6 yrs old so of course I’m a wreck but point being when I ordered the book I was on one side of it and now as I wait for the delivery of the book now I’ve lost my child so the meaning of this book& why I wanted it has went from how could anyone go thru losing a child to now I’ve lost a child and I need this book 📕, it’s so ironic 0:28 and I’m just taken back by this. I don’t wanna be on this side of things I’m completely broken for me and my grandbabies.

So I have been a casual listener to you for a few years now. Since seeing your announcement to quit country music, I have become way more interested in where you're going. I'm from Austin but my wife and I went to your recent Boston show at the House of Blues while on vacation. that black-looking seafood is a quahog clam. this is coming from a New Englander. the real creamy one is New England clam chowder but is sometimes called Boston clam chowder. a more brothy one is Rodie Island. tomato base one is Manhattan. the one London was eating was what we New Englanders call fish stew if it had all of those different fish and shellfish in a more brothy creamy base and thicker it is fish stew.

I don't understand picky eaters. I truly don't because I'm not one. I've never been one. I just try stuff, and then I decide if it's something I want more of or not. I don't ask what's in it.
