I live in the US, but my dad and his family came here directly from Germany. So I grew up eating a lot of this food. While some of this is "different" by US standards, it's amazing food that everybody should try!

Most of this food is also typical for Polish cuisine. My favourite is the pig's foot with sauerkraut, second comes potatoes with cream cheese, third sausages. Yum! I will not be getting into any discussion on those dishes' origins, because the region of Poland where I come from, was under the great influence of Germany for years. My point though is, that I grew up eating like this.

Only that Leberkäse has nothing to do with liver, a confusing name. In Munich could never see such cheap prices :) I like a lot from German food, some influence is in Latvian kitchen aswell. I've tried already quite a lot, z.B. Weißwürste, Weißbier and Brezeln, but last one was Käsespetzle, quite good aswell! :) Thanks for the video, many different sorts!

Hallo Anja! Kannst du ein Video über dem Superlativ machen? Hauptsächlich zum Beispiel, wenn Man entweder "am weitesten" oder "die weiteste" benutzt. Entschuldigung für meine Fehler und danke für alles! Since my German isn't so good, I'll write this part in English haha. I love the new format! It looks VERY professional. Keep up the good work! (Translation of what I was attempting to say at the beginning in case it's unintelligible: Hello Anja! Can you make a video on superlatives? Mainly, when you use either "am weitesten" or "die weiteste".)

Hallo, Anja. I have had German food for years now, even before I went through Germany on a river cruise in '13, though nothing recently due to COVID, because there are several German restaurants in the Dallas-Ft Worth area. We also have several Aldi stores that sell German foods, but not like German Deli did (they have since closed, probably because of Amazon). I even have a recipe for Quark.
