I've actually done the Elise/Benny pairing, and from a gameplay perspective ... it's actually not bad. Elise needs to be Malig Knight, I think. Benny adds 6-7 points of Defense, and with any other defense-boosting options you can stack on top, Elise is now functions well as a glass cannon who just so happens to have respectable mixed wall bulk. The pairing opens up the ability to fly ahead to an enemy formation, and swap to Benny to tank attacks (particularly any bow attacks) for a turn until you can get reinforcements to help clean up. There are a number of Paralogues where that is helpful, as Conquest paralogues typically ask you to disperse your army across multiple positions on the map (think Percy's Paralogue). Though while I'm thinking of children, I gotta say that the pairing completely messes up Ignatius' stats.

They did, and it actively fucks with the characterization of basically anyone she supports with that places a value on human life because everyone has to be happy with her by A support and all the guys have to be willing to marry her by S. The only guy that's actually able to respond to her psychopathy that I've found is Laslow. I don't have the energy to sift through them all.
