Nah supers are fine just remove the armor so if they get hit after activating them they will lose it. Also yes we did need heat it’s completely fine to have a resource to manage

The issue with heat is just how at times it completely spits in the face of what Tekken is about. Originally it would just follow you no matter where you went, it’d beat pretty much any option but a rage art and maybe a low that was already on its way there. Due to the animation start up of activation, it ate inputs so there was little to no counter play. It’s better than before, but still kind of undermines a decent bit of staple elements in Tekken and it still kinda eats inputs 😂

It's interesting to be a new player and see all these different opinions on the matter. For me as a newbie I do like the idea of heat from an actual fight pov, surely getting wailed on in a fight irl even if your blocking is surely exhausting and the person doing the smacking is winning. However this is also a game with a fighting panda and devil man with hair stick so maybe realism isn't the go to here

@@jontyhugh1080 I agree to an extent. The point I made was never about who you are playing, but just how a universal mechanic works. Having a new mechanic is fine by me. Having said mechanic spit in the face of every other mechanic in the game is what the problem was when Tekken 8 first came out. Like the counter play wasn’t there at all. It is now to an extent but not the start. A fighting game can be beginner friendly but a win should still feel earned at the end of the day.

Did you main Josie in T7 too? What was your reasoning in picking Azucena? I mostly mained josie and lars, so now it is Lars and azucena for me. I think she is really fun to play and very unique. Atleast with Lars and Azucena it feels like i need to think and really strategize which makes Tekken fun. Sadly, they really got much of that out of its system. It seems Lars and Azucena are one of the few characters who seem reasonably balanced while al other characters are braindead. In T7 i could really rely on more strategies to fall back on, like maybe more movement or different back turns techs ( which they also removed), and the combos being overal harder to perform and therefore feeling more satisfying and therefore the game feeling more in depth and satisfying. This game is awesome, but it just feels bit flat compared to T7 in terms of satisfaction. And what is with the Ego's of people these days? Have a lot of opponents who just ki charge while i just try to play for fun in quick matches. And the spamming of one move after winning a round is screams so much insecurity and toxicity. I almost always leave the match because i do not want to deal with brats anymore who think they are some big shot because they win with a character like dragunov or Jin while i play bottom tier while being respectful to my opponent.

Surely they will fix the game for season 2 right? Because the game is as dead as Tekken 7 was by the end of it and it had 4 seasons. It's crazy to me. Anyway, always a joy to watch your Azucena, even if the rest of the game is just a huge mess.
