I have never had a rat as well but enjoy checking out the price friendly. The out put jack is something I never understand. Its deffinitly in the way on several of my pedals due to that positioning for sure. Thanks Mike. Im being good

Great demo! I agree with your take on the power jack placement, it really is in the way. I own an Amazon basics Distortion pedal and took it off my board because it really didn't fit in with the way I play. This one might be a better fit, it certainly sounds better than the one I have. It's cute that they named it for the famous rat Master Splinter from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics/cartoons/movies. Very tongue in cheek!

That pedal sounds good and I have the rat pedal. Great pedal too! The rat pedal acts a distortion to fuzz pedal. BTW the filter button

Sounds like a Rat, indeed. At lower gain settings it hasn't that OD-like thing the original Rat has, but, keep in mind it's a clone of a FatRat. The Mosfet (germanium) and Stock (silicone) settings are subtle, and the Fat setting boosts the low mids/lows. I really like this pedal on bass, playing 2 string chords.

@@grumpymikeguitar I don't want to sound ungrateful. I appreciate the review but the primary thing I want to know is what it sounds like. I DO want to hear commentary but that is secondary to wanting to hear it demoed. Primary - secondary. If you make your audience wait 5 minutes before hearing the guitar pedal, THE reason they clicked on your video, most people are going to stop watching and look for another video.
