Picking up my Searwood tomorrow and I can’t wait. Been watching a ton of your stuff. A little concerning that you had that glitch. But I’m still excited. Where did you get that light for the handle?
@TBH-GrillinАй бұрын
Awesome, thanks for watching! Honestly the glitches have been seldom and I use this thing constantly. I expect electronics and computers to glitch out from time to time, so as long as it’s seldom and fixed easy, I’m not worried. The searwood has been a versatile beast and Weber support is good if you ever need it. Enjoy!

Man, y'all are really doing it up!😎 I'm trying to wait to see if the Searwood go on sale for BF before I buy one, but y'all make it hard to wait!
@TBH-GrillinАй бұрын
Hahaha, stay strong and wait for the sales! You have the rest of eternity to grill up some good stuff!

I had the same thing happen and found that the main temp probe was pretty dirty (covered in black burnt grease and soot). So cleaned it off with some BBQ wipes and have never had it happen again. Now I check and wipe down the probe regularly. Great video, btw - going to try this.

Now that you mention it, I did clean it off after the reset. 🤔 Thanks!

Dood, nice work again! Interesting how you experienced that flare up bug, and resolved it! Pizza looks amazing, but I am interested why you are using those pans instead of pizza stones...
@TBH-GrillinАй бұрын
I have one pizza stone at the moment, but it's not big enough for the size of these take-and-bake pizzas from harris teeter, so I used the larger pizza pans. They work great!

on your searwood....do you empty out the pellets after every cook? Have my first pellet smoker on the way and wondering if the moisture would get to them if you dont empty it and store in a bucket or something
@TBH-GrillinАй бұрын
I do not empty my pellets after each cook, and haven't had a problem in that regard. Then again, I use it all the time so pellets never stay in the hopper that long.

I had the same issue with the Searwood where the temperature went way over the set point without warning. I left it alone and it corrected itself a short time later. Yours almost looked like a grease fire in the pot.
@TBH-GrillinАй бұрын
Interesting take, but I don’t think a grease fire in the pot would last that long and seemingly controlled. When we started the shutdown cycle, the massive flames went away quickly. But anything’s possible.

What would you think about cold smoking Baby Back Ribs first?
@TBH-GrillinАй бұрын
My guess is it would take a long time to penetrate the meat, but worth it if you have the time! Just remember the meat will be in the bacteria “danger zone” for a while temp-wise, so make sure you thoroughly cook it after the cold smoke!
@oconnellbobАй бұрын
Do you think that the smoke tube being so close to the BBQ thermostat had any effect on the high temp?
@TBH-GrillinАй бұрын
No, because the searwood was trying to increase the temp, not decrease it.

You boys sure love your hawt sausage! How does the Searwood with a tube compare to a Charcoal Summit for smoke infusion?
@TBH-GrillinАй бұрын
Oh, it's better than without the tube, but it's not going to be like pure charcoal!
