Cheers Jeremy! That means a lot. I loved the R6 for photography but found it lacking on the video side. Also it just didn’t inspire me to go out and shoot, not like the Fujifilm cameras do. Good to see an NI bloke on KZbin! Excellent. I shoot Fujifilm myself with the poor man's X-Pro3, the X-E4. Coincidentally, I just dusted off my X-100. It's from the early batch with the "sticky blades" but so far so good. Lovely spot there at Orlock. Made a wee video there myself a while ago. Hope everything works out for you. You'll be inspired with that new camera that's for sure.

I just switched from the Nikon Z system to Fuji after, like you, falling for the X-Pro3. I now have the X-Pro3 and the X-H2s, with the Xf 23mm f1.4 lm wr and the XF 50mm f1, which I find covers everything I need. I may get the XF 16-55mm f2.8, but hoping they release an update to that lens soon. I honestly haven’t looked back after making the switch. The X-H2s is an absolute powerhouse and blows my previous Z6 II cameras away with how it performs.

Hey!! Thanks a bunch. Honestly it’s just a basic white balance/exposure correction then I banged a conversion lut from lutco.co on top (link in bio). I’m definitely no colour expert and still have a lot of testing to do with this camera but thanks a bunch for your positive feedback!!

Fix Movie Crop Magnification. I think it allows you to crop into the 6k sensor when shooting in 4k or something like that. Maybe someone else can explain it better than me… This is from the Fujifilm website… “FIX MOVIE CROP MAGNIFICATION Fix the movie crop ratio at 1.29:1. This makes it easier to match crops when filming in different formats.”

Great piece! Enjoy that cam:) I also have had mine for a few months. I even pre ordered it because I love my XT4 and knew this H2s would be better for video. Its just brilliant all round, great stills, videos is unbelievable. I shoot telly commercials with it, corporate and some Unicef doccies with it. Hey thanks for the lovely comment and the sub!! I have a video landing on Friday with a few initial thoughts on the X-H2s after the first morning of shooting featured in the video above... Basically I was mainly using the R6 and C-Log3 before I sold it for this camera. The R6 was incredible for photography but I was always a little disappointed with its video capabilities. I actually was feeling bad using it professionally as the footage I shot previously with the BMPCC4k was much better. As I am a hybrid shooter I need a camera that is great at both photography and video, ideally have IBIS, dual cards, doesn't overheat (R6) and the X-H2s does all this. I've been shooting with it now for about a week (so in no way an expert yet) but honestly the footage is so nice to work with. I've been shooting H.265 4:2:0 as my computer would struggle I think with the 4:2:2 but I believe this camera would still be amazing shooting at H.264 8bit ( yet to test that though). I need to do a lot more testing as there are so many options with this camera with lenses, film simulations, record modes, aspect ratios, codecs, different LUTs (the LUT used in this video was a creative F-Log to REC.709 from lutco.co and I basically slapped it on and tweaked the white balance and boom) Anyway sorry for the brain dump, hopefully some of this helps. As I say I have lots more tests and videos coming soon featuring this and other cameras. Stay tuned and thanks again for the subscription!

That's class. Fujifilm vibe all the way. They're so fun to use and that's why most people including myself get into photography - because it's fun!! What's your favourite prime?? The adapter is the Fringer EF-FX PRO II - it's been working great so far for me!!

@@rossandhisjpegs Thank you. I’ve heard great reviews on the Fringer. I’ll have to buy one myself. As for my favourite prime, I adore the 90mm f2 when I have the space to shoot portraits. The background separation is fantastic. But I have also found myself shooting indoor events in tight spaces lately and the 18mm f1.4 is incredibly fast focusing and gives a unique perspective. I adore that lens also! Thanks again.

These two cameras, the Fujifilm X-H2S and the X-H2 are awesome cameras. As a cinematographer, I decided to buy the Fujifilm X-H2 with the 40mp sensor and its 8k capabilities and I am loving it. Great choice mate 👍.

What was your AF-C settings for majority of filming? I think I remember hearing the AF-C settings dont affect the 18-35 sigma due to the fringer adapter, is that true?

Hey Johnny. Thanks for the comment. The majority if not all of the test shots here are shot in 'manual focus' focus mode but I shot the pieces to camera with 'continuous af' mode, eye detection on and 'multi' af mode and it seemed to work really well with the SIGMA 18-35mm f1.8! Maybe it depends which adapter you use? I have the Fringer EF-FX PRO II and have zero complaints. It works wonderfully.

The new autofocus system, and object recognition is amazing! I’m not, and never will be, a fan of Sigma lenses… I have the 18-35 mm for Nikon F, and 24-105 f4 Art lenses, and they’re so unreliable in autofocus consistency, and of poor build quality, that they literally gather dust ! Fuji lenses, on the other hand, are like the Nikon F mount (not cheap gelded ones!), built like tanks, and have good or great optics, depending on the lens-model.

@Ory it’s a little complex, and some aspects do not apply in the mirrorless lens world… let’s begin with that point… notice that I stated “focus consistency”… this is vital in dslr, because they need to be focus-calibrated, thus the calibration should be dependable.. Especially with the Sigma lenses, this is not really possible! Mirrorless negates this Ed, as the focus is on the capture-plane, and honestly I suspect the mirrorless hype to be largely promoted by industry wanting to make ever cheaper lens designs… beyond this, the one of the two sigma lense - the 24-105 f4 Art, lost a part from the front of the lens, some sort of decorative ring on the inside of the lens barrel front… also not too convincing of build quality… and beyond this, a lot of sigma owners have complained about lenses being so out of spec, that they couldn’t calibrate them at all on their dslrs… I did not have this issue, OR - I have so many other better lenses, that the two sigmas are just sitting there…
