Hey, great content. I have the same 3" kit and I'm about to do the swap. Just wondering why you had to remove the bottom two leafs? And did you get the HD kit because of the v6? Thanks.

@@Shiploadofshipes Nope, normal springs. My personal truck has 3" springs with bottom 2 leafs removed, and same with Cory with his 3" springs. All V6, all not HD springs, and all bottom leafs removed. Reason being is lowering the trucks a bit, and more articulation.

@DirtGarage4 жыл бұрын
Totally not necessary. I'm the only one in my crew who moved the box, and that is only because my leaf spring hangers are cut into the frame, and running 4" shackles, causing my steering to bind.
@mikejensen-fogt46624 жыл бұрын
@@DirtGarage ok nice. Yeah ive moved my steering box forward a bit and flattened out the angle they put them on. I also have a flat pitman arm so it doesn't drop it too low. I SAS'd my 87 pickup with the TG 3" kit and I already had the old man emu rear springs in AND I added 4" blocks to level up the rear. What did you replace your 4" blocks with? You said you took those ones out of your truck? I'm assuming you did the Chevy 63"? Did that level you out completely or did you need to add blocks to that too? Was it worth it?
@DirtGarage2 жыл бұрын
Originally I was running stocks with those 4" blocks, later I went to OME and 2" blocks, now I run 63s with no blocks. We remove leafs from the TG 3" to keep it lower.
@matthewevers67162 жыл бұрын
Any disadvantage to running it the way I have mine set up? I'm swapping in an om617 right now and I kind of want to keep all the leafs up front in the TG 3" kit to prevent sagging later on. The only thing that worries me about the 4" blocks in the rear is axle wrap, what you think?
@DirtGarage2 жыл бұрын
