I found an aimbotter yesterday in QP while I was playing crossplay with my little brother on switch and we still won 😂 never even realized he was hacking until I accidentally looked at his pov in replay. He was literally shooting at us through walls from his spawn and tracking our heads through barriers while breaking them 😂 was quite hilarious actually.

This is disgusting to watch. Also watching both Mercys damage boosting the hackers and tanks shielding the hackers - especially bastion. I do wonder about the mercy you looked at briefly, she was also a low level and had that kill on the widow earlier in the game. Anyway, if ever a game was supposed to be intentionally drawn, it's this one. Actually, no, this game should have been cancelled by banning at least ONE of these people mid-match.

So i was put in a game with 3 hackers as well all on my team, I learned a lot of information about the way these hacks work. It is very interesting when you get told the hacking is free its just putting time into the scripts, also crazy to know that they are extremely confident that blizz can't patch there new hacks with out changing a lot, they are deep in there game now. Also interesting to know they can rage hack like this all day for up to like 72 hours before getting banned and can duo with people and the duo never gets banned why you see mercy pockets, also interesting to know they can get a new level 25 and or higher account any were from level 25 to dimond 5 star boarder accounts for like $1 a account. They do this and get them banned and move on, its insane.

Back in the CS 1.4 era, I ran a CS server in the dorms at the University of Minnesota and we began to get hackers joining. There was a write-up on a hack for CS called OGC which was a fairly popular hack. They talked about how the hacks worked. For aim bots, they don't necessarily have all of the game data. Mix this with poor quality calculations and you get a crappier aim bot. Detailed Explanation: It was indicated that with the limited game data they had to calculate the model's distance from the hacker to the target including verticality. Then calculating the vertical distance (at that range) from the ground to the head, it arrives at a location of the targets head in 3d game space. It would have already, through testing, have determined the aim path and/or bullet emanation point relative to the ground location of the hacker. Take the hacker's current position and current aiming angle from this aim point and project a line outwards. Then calculate the angular offset needed to have this line pass through the target's head. Add in scaling factor that translates aim-angle changes into mouse movement and wahhhmo you have the needed mouse movements to aim at the targets head. For games with projectile speeds and what not, it may take into account for momentum and projectile travel times. It then will proceed fire off the needed mouse movements and would click the mouse for you using something like DirectX DirectInput to make in look like user-driven mouse actions. In those times, aim bots were broken into two categories of actions: auto aim and auto fire which not all hacks had both. The write-up went on to describe that with the oldest and worst aim bots, some would have you replace the models skin with a flat color and used screen pixel scanning to search for that color and aim in a way that would point the hacker at the target. It was a very bad way to do this. With the newest aim bots, they can affect the bullets themselves as with the magic bullet hack you've shown us in OW. I am unsure how exactly they do this, but would surmise that they are doing it via adjusting the details in RAM or in the network packet. With more data, less assumptions are used. That along with the quality(accuracy) and speed(processing time) of the equations used to calculate the angular changes would greatly affect the aim bots performance. This is where the discrepancies between aim bots stands out. Quick tangent - For the nerd out there, read up on how speed hack worked in the past. AFAIK, they would effectively turn down the idle CPU commands used and sent by a "slow down" mechanism used by the Windows process scheduler. Making they run "faster" than other processes. You could actually do this on various applications. I believe I tried it on WinAmp and swear I remember it playing faster but that was a long time ago.

@@ManDogBearPig that literally does nothing to stop them. It slows them down at best. Because getting a new account and IP isn't exactly the hardest thing in the world. They ban your email from creating accounts? Just create a new email and bam, your back in the game as if nothing happened. And if you think IP banning them does anything, they can create spam IP adresses if the only thing the hacker is interested in is fucking other people out SR in the game. Once that IP is banned, they just switch to the next one and repeat the process. Literally the only thing that would scare off a hacker is them risking losing more money than what they paid to get their hacks. Hence why I said fines would be a brilliant solution if it could be done.

In South Korea you do. They actually have laws made for video games and are somewhat strict on enforcing them when they can. They have actual laws pertaining to account sharing/boosting/cheating. You could actually face fines and jail time there for this, however that's only 1 country, but a very prominent one for competitive video games.
