Doesn't blizzard do something like that? I do know they flag cheaters and then ban them in waves. -Or at least used to in ow1, I presume they still do the same-. Makes it harder for cheat creators to circumvent anti-cheat since they don't know if their cheats have been detected yet or not, they only find out when a new ban wave comes around. Honestly kinda sucks tbh, since it allows cheaters to keep playing. But it's a cat and mouse game, if you insta-banned cheaters, the cheat makers would just test out new cheats on fresh accounts all the time (especially now that it's free to play), so they'd be able to constantly out-pace blizzard. Anyway point is, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a cheater lobby system or something similar at least. Where suspected/flagged cheaters don't rank as quickly or easily or smth.

For your information, yes the Kiriko is cheating. He uses a special kind of aimbot which search for enemy outline colors pixels and then move the mouse to those pixels. But because the cheat doesnt interact in any way with the game, it is not detectable by blizzard. This cheat is public and free and it is not the first one you showcased, Jay.

I think you're onto something. Tbh if I was designing a cheat I'd use a computer vision algo so it's not detectable for the reasons you said, but also less obvious because you're not going to aim-lock people through walls, you'll only aimbot onto people you can actually see. You can also easily simulate legitimate mouse movement so it looks more human but is again undetectable.

I feel like jay3 and a lot of other people are confused about how anticheat works - it's not about the blatant cheating, it's about the way the cheats actually interact with the game so when the cheat software starts hard locking enemies, it's still using the same method of interacting with the game, IE drivers to simulate a mouse and recording the screen to look at enemy colored pixels, vs reading the game's memory and trying to lock on in the game directly. source- I'm a game dev I probably didn't explain it very well but

Precisely. Also, aimbots that works with screenshots got very inaccurate since OW1 due to major changes on how the enemy outlines work. I think there was a blog post explaining it back in 2019? It wasn't a clear single color outline anymore, but a changing pattern (that we can't actually see) that made the cheats very confused about how the model looked like and where were their limits on the screen. It added significant delay to the cheats processing time to make them unusable. This change made the hackers switch to mem-hacking all the way, if I'm not mistaken. Also, mem-hacks are far easier to spot on the dev side, since changes on the client side might enable some impossible interactions should appear on logs. If it weren't for the the whole trouble I'd be getting into by doing it, I'd really like to disassembly some of those cheats and actually look how they do some of their stuff. I guess it would improve my c++ experience.

I really like to be healed by my support, don't get me wrong, but when times are dark, I would love to have actual support in my fights. A simple purple nade, discord orb, or a support that shoots at my targets can help me greatly But this kind of thing seems to be quite rare if I base it on the damage of my supports which are sometimes around 1k at 8 minutes. On the other hand nothing to say about their heals which are easily at 7-8k in those times

@@Ravitas3 I go to Moira when things get really dark. Launch a heal orb at my teammates then go on the attack. The enemies turn towards me and then my team can clean those guys up. If I die it isn't too hard to get back to my team fast and the orb travels fairly quick. A rinse and repeat cycle if need be

8:51 is where it gave it away for me with the Kiriko. As a Kiriko main myself hitting a flying pharah is extremely hard, and doing it consequently for 3 times it's pure luck or you're abnormally skilled. Also if you slow it down at 0.25 the speed you can see how he's tracking the hitbox of the body instead of the head so it's less obvious (and then followed it throught the wall). Also he's not anywhere near to be a good Kiriko. I'm all for the aggressive playstyle and I like to take fight when possible but this guy forgot his team existence. Also missclicking so many times between paper and kunai means you're new to the hero, but the aim he had is the one of someone with lots of hours on her (even if I would argue that so many bodyshots are weird considering that with Kiriko you try to go for the headshot as it's 120). In conclusion even if it's not blatant cheating it's def cheating

If you are on high ground and you can see their entire team, then put it down and either zone them out or 2 burst someone. I played against a Kiriko exactly like this. Bronze awarness and play style, hits almost every shot. The second time he flanked me i realized he was probably cheating. Why would someone with godlike aim play kiriko, and be in a game with players so far below his level. My team didnt really seem to care, that might be why he plays Kiriko. People wont mind so much if you are not botting on a dmg dealer.

Nah, it actually was a well engineered cheat that is designed to not look sus. "walmart" cheats are going to look the most sus because it'll blatantly lock onto a player. A good cheat will look natural while still having an overall high hit accuracy, the goal of cheaters is to not get detected.
