That bot Bastion,even if it is below the map, KNOWS where the map ends and it can manouvre around. I mean,it knows where the "invisible" ground ends. Players,even cheaters,cannot see things like that. I am talking about game physics here. Even if a player cheats,he/she cannot actually see something that only the developers and the programmers of the game can see. Think about it,in the entirety of the battle,that Bastion bot didn't fall to its death. No offence to the players,but that Bastion bot kept killing the players. You couild say that that Bastion bot could see the map Matrix and avoid the "death holes",so to speak. :)

That game breaking bug is easy to replicate. Just use mei wall on someone that died and have them switch and theyll straight clip through the floor. This is especially worse on shambali where there is a invis floor that let's you be under the map without dying (no killbox) and on defense you can set up sym tp for everyone to get out of the map

Maybe, maybe not. Typically anti-cheat will wait a certain buffer time between detection and ban so bot-makers can't easily know what gets or doesn't get picked up by the anti-cheat.

@@Niko_620 i've never played an FPS game before overwatch so i really struggle with aim esp when i'm playing dps. so it's a good way for me to get used to movement and learn the differences between their weapons without having to worry about letting people down when i'm not good. can do practice range but since they move in a standard way every time it's hard for me to get a good feel of tracking someone. it's def far from perfect but i feel like it at least helps me a bit esp if i'm rusty on a hero.

So I think that the bot is programmed to take the shortest possible route to players, maybe even with some little things additional like "look for cover" etc. Either way I think the coding worked out in such a way that the bot realized "Hey theres this wall here that just lets me go everywhere, I'm going to do that"

They're not, they usually take different route each fight and they tend to stick to the payload. They don't look for cover but they'll look for heathpack. He probably just got stuck and so the game forced the bot to get unstuck, leading to him going through a wall.

My only guess for how the Bastion on Shambali (6:56 onward) was able to clip through there is that it's just running into the wall, and because the game runs on ticks and server inputs, the Bastion Bot is literally sending its "forward" signal as few as 20 and as many as 60 times per second. Each time you hit W, your character inches ever so slightly forward, even if you're up against a wall; mash it as fast as the server can register it, and you'll clip through a wall... because Flats noticed that there was a seam in the level geometry, but the Bastion wasn't *_aligned_* with that seam, so that can't be what caused it. I dunno-maybe Marblr has a clue.

In all the years I've spent playing Practice, I can say that having a Bot fall trough the map and then procced to completely decimate us has never happened to me. Back before the flip, I've had the unusual circumstance where only a portion of the Bot team actually spawned in and even one where NONE of them spawned. In the flip, they actually tweaked the bots so now they're not so predictable and actually try to get out of the way of an Ult instead of just stand there. And they actually pop off Ults themselves when they hadn't before. It's a better challenge than before. I've seen a Bot get stuck-common on Circuit Royal with Bots on Attack. There's some cars parked on the right side of the main spawn doors where a bot might slip in the space between the bumpers and the building and be unable to get free. Doesn't happen often often, but often enough And thanks for sticking up for us who like Practice. I'm not a one trick pony. I don't main one Hero. I mean, there's this whole roster- why pick just one? I like to play Flex, and different maps tend to favor different heros better than others. Practice allows me to explore different heros and learn them at my own pace.

3:13 ow2’s anti cheat is built to be the opposite of this. In an earlier dev stream they said the system is built to keep tabs on possible hackers/cheaters over a course of a month or a few weeks. Then once it gets good enough proof it will ban that hacker/cheater and any others they’ve been tracking and keep tabs on. Their idea was to wipe out as many hackers/cheaters as they can in a single go.
