Same. Having good aim (or cheating) can’t get you to Diamond, but a bad aim can easily keep you in Bronze/Silver.

Hey I’m plat and Genji 1v1s it’s 50/50 most of the time on hitscan but on Hanzo they have to be the worst Genji ever or I get a lucky headshot, cannot track them for the life of me with Hanzo.

Had a Bastion who was cheating, on my team. We lost and at the end the enemy was like: "How do you cheat on bastion and still lose?" - I was confused, and checked the replay... He was hard locking, but it was like he didn't know how bastion worked, so he just "BRRRRR" around corners and everyone fell back, then murdered him after turret. Was the funniest report I ever made.

Fortunately overwatch is way less forgiving for cheaters than other games like COD. People usually cheat because they have 0 game sense and don’t want to put the time in. If you’ve got the positioning and target prioritising of a literal potato you’re going to get rolled no matter how good your gaming chair is.

Well to start: cheaters are always bad players, that are tired of losing but don't want to actually learn the game and get better, since that takes time... So they have zero game sense, bad positioning, often don't even know how the character works (using non hitscan characters like Genji) and therefore not even their cheats can help them enough to not lose.

A thing I have been saying since OW1: It is much harder to win by cheating in OW than in other fps games, CSGO for example. Since its NOT only mechanical skill (i.e. better aim) and more hero-focused, you can absolutely counter a cheater (like their Reinhardt did). Of course if a person knows enough about the game and is playing in a higher rank, that may not work anymore. But still, the chance is much higher.

The health bar randomly reappearing (10:00) has happened to me a few times in game in the past week or so, it's almost like when they respawn their character model just stands back up where they died before being teleported back to spawn. I wonder if it has something to do with the Starwatch event, because the players could be revived their character models had to remain on the field.

Another thing is how snappy their flicks and twitchy their tracking is. They lock on to center very quick but it tracks even small movements or something making it very stiff but twitchy. He must have a toggle or setting of some sort for the aim cheats since he seems to miss from time to time. 12:42 with the moira is very obvious there's something off about cass. I tend to do very twitchy shots so his look really sus to me. When I flick on ashe there is a pattern to my movement out of muscle memory and mouse placement(flick either upwards or downards diagonally towards the target and then back). On mei(icicle) or kiri when twitching and swiping the camera alot it's due to enemies having decent strafes, being close or pure panic and it'll be obvious usually.

I think some of them are also cheating in Quick Play because they're often alt accounts where you need 50 wins to be able to play comp, and a lot of these accounts are being sold to people that don't want to play that amount of quick play before being able to smurf in comp

I only play qp, I'm silver 1 and since season 4 started I've had people ranging from Bronze to t500 in some of my games. I don't know if they straight up removed the matchmaking but they definitely are allowing a way wider range of skill tiers to be matched

They definitely did something to the qp matchmaking in season 4. I'm silver and before s4 seeing a Diamond player was very rare. Now I see plat, diamond and master players every other game

Me too! I'm fairly new to OW2 so I'm only high Silver/low Gold, but starting S4, there was a crazy spike in QP matchmaking for me. In S2/3, I barely saw a Diamond/Plat title--and now the frequency I've seen Master/GM titles is crazy. It feels like 1 in every 3 games they pop up. And it sucks because I'm just trying to have fun and they're all toxic/mad since I'm not at their sweaty level. :(

Alr i hope you read this flats, I have a perhaps unreasonable fear. I’ve been watching a lot of your videos recently and realized that my aim is sometimes flicky, or my aimstyle is a little flicky. It usually happens in point blank engagements. I play zenyatta, and I’ve never seen anybody cheat with zenyatta, but with how flicky my aim is I’m worried someone could accuse me. My aim is getting to 60% accuracy now, I just do and dont want to end up like arrge.

There's matchmaking in Quick Play is one of the biggest lies I've heard. Me being a low gold dps going up against a team filled with grandmasters and masters doesn't feel very balanced. It's gotten to a point where I play Comp over quick play just to play against people who are actually in my rank.. 🤣

This is 100% a controller player who downloaded some off brand “aim assist” cheat, which is really just a soft aim lock. He’s got the super clunky movement like he’s on sticks, and you can see how he can’t hit shit up close but so long as he keeps his cursor near the target for long enough, it will snap for him.

I have a theory; these players are so trash and are stuck trying to win quick play to unlock comp, but think they’re good enough for comp and are “getting held back by their team” that they use cheats to get into comp. I've never understood aimbotting on projectile heroes. Like, of course some aimbot programs know the projectile speed and trajectory and can calculate where to aim based on that and the movement of the target, but... it's projectile. The target may change direction, so the projectile would miss. It just seems to defeat the purpose to aimbot on a projectile hero.
