At 6:56 they didn't actually mean to stand still for too long, they attempt to super jump off the Moira that was earth shattered, but the Moira fades and Mercy loses their GA target. You can tell because the Mercy crouches right before the Moira uses fade. So they didn't intentionally stand still there for too long, they just expected to initiate the GA. Sucks because it might have actually saved them from death in that exchange.

Tbh that mei was the only one doing work even before they started playing mei. The other dps was having an identity crisis and the tanks were switching between super passive and 100% feed mode healing wouldn't have helped them win but the devil would.

Often times if I have two dead I rezz the one can help win the fight. Mei or Ana? Well the Ana wasn’t nading the enemy tanks and heals wasn’t really the issue so yeah that’s how us Mercy’s think when there’s more than one person to rez. If it’s three or more I don’t unless it’s overtime. Then you rez the stall character and keep them alive till team gets back. It’s a trial and error lifestyle. Takes us some time to realise who considering all the circumstances

This is the life of a healer. So many times I'll be healing someone so they can win a fight but they can't seem to finish the enemy off so I'll switch to DPSing so they stop taking damage then heal them up. As a Mercy main 1) these revenge kills make me so happy. The epitome of "fine, I'll do it myself" that all of us wish we could get away with without getting yelled at by a feeder for not healing them. 2) she seems like she belongs in a way higher elo. I didn't get my super jump down until I hit plat, but she's consistently getting it down in silver. If she played a different hero, she might rank up a lot faster because Mercy is super reliant on her teams performance to go up. With some improved game sense on keeping track of where her enemies are, she absolutely feels like she could hit high plat/diamond.

@@austinmoe4865 super jump =/= higher rank. It's good but also easy to get into habitually using it even when you shouldn't. Her movement when doing boosts is what needs work. I will say though her use of the comrades on different roofs to guardian angel up and kill the soldier THEN REZ Bastion and go back in was so clean.

As a Mercy healer main, I was cracking up with laughter at the enemies dying at the hands of a Mercy 🤣 I haven't gotten a kill count of 30 with her, even in Total Mayhem 🤣 Like a lot of people, my super jump isn't 100% reliable (I'm a PS4 player), but it's just so good to see a Mercy get some, instead of resigning to "Guess I'll die...again."

Without tarring all of them with the same brush, most Moiras I've encountered, both as enemies and as a healer in the team I'm in, dps waaay too much. That and they assume the other is okay at all times. I'm not a good Moira, but I'll still heal the other in the team. It makes it way easier for you in the long run.

something I love about flats is how much respect he has for support players and how genuine that respect is. it's a real sign of maturity, which is sadly rare in the overwatch community, and it's honestly also just a sign that he understands the game and the role that other heroes play. and tbh I feel like there's also a hint of solidarity lol my overall impression has been that tanks and supports get blamed the most, and I don't mean that in a sense like "dps are the only whiners and they blame supports and tanks" because I've seen some really stupid supports blame tanks and really braindead tanks blame supports. and this isn't to say that dps don't get unfairly blamed sometimes too. I just mean that on the whole, it seems to me like tanks and supports get blamed the most, regardless of who is doing the blaming. and I feel like, most of the time, tanks and supports look out for each other the most. I'm in mid/high plat as a support -- or at least I was when I was playing comp consistently, I've basically only done my placements for the last few seasons because Life™️ -- and most of the time, when someone is peeling for me, it's usually my other support or a tank, and when it's a tank, a lot of times it's a Reinhardt. just today in fact a blading Genji cornered me when I was playing mercy and Rein was the one who came to help. so idk, I just really love it when flats models respect for the other roles for his audience.

Mercies in silver can actually be like this, difference is usually in low elos good games are inconsistent, or theyve been low elo a long time and dont have the time to climb. Also like flats said, pretty much the most important thing for a mercy to do is survive, which they're still getting a hang of and it changes as elo rises. Just cause someone has brain cells doesnt mean they cant be stuck in low elo The mercy was great though! Fun vod! I bet theyll learn the little changes and climb

I think this seems like a plat/diamond smurf. Maybe a bit more so plat. Just because there were a few questionable movement moments. But I think the aim and the use of dmg boost is actually quite impressive. As well as target priority. Really well done. As a sidenote, it might be fun if you host an event specifically for players in bronze/silver players. Though at the same time difficult to wade through if players are genuine and aren't just alt accounts (though you can't easily fake a few seasons of comp just for 1 event)

ik i’m going to be completely honest i’m a masters mercy main and seeing that in bronze is insane. if she’s really bronze she’s deserves much higher. her aim is really good she has her super jump. but she could be a smurf

Rezing around corners, paying attention to the team, uses blue beam, can superjump, has good aim. Definitely not a bronze mercy. I think its a plat thats smurfing in bronze.

@@realtalk13 super jumping is not that hard once you learn how to do it lol. it's tough to get the trick of it at first, but once you learn, it's really easy. it's like any more "advanced" tech. lower ranked players can pick up certain things from KZbin and twitch, no matter what role they play. that doesn't mean they're a smurf lol I think about it like turning your camera for Rein's swing or knowing doomfish rollouts. those are tricks anyone can learn. the difference between a highly ranked player and a lower ranked player is mostly just game sense.

@@sethescope you're right anyone can learn, but its the number of jumps + intentionality of use thats the give away. Doing a few random ones in a game is mildly suss but not the end all be all. Doing two to intentionally 1v1 a soldier off the high ground? That's not bronze level thinking or playing
