Those waffles are pretty typical Swedish waffles. They're always served with some kind of jam (in your case, by the looks of things, cloudberry jam) and also whipped cream, although not the can variety. Same with the pancakes and why there was whipped cream at the breakfast buffet - for the pancakes.

I was in northern Sweden in the summer and while I absolutely loved the vibe and scenery the Moskitos ate me alive. Moskitos love my blood for some reason even in my home country, but in Sweden it turned into torture really fast.

Not all the drinks are alcohol free in the general stores, but they are not higher than 3,5%. As for the waffles, that is how we have them here but you can get them softer or more crispy. If you wanted thicker ones you should have looked for Belgian waffles.

Back when I lived in my previous smaller town, was used to large amounts of snow like that. Just for fun, I quickly checked how much snow the town used to get. Back in 2010, it had an unusually large amount of snow that made it the second most snowed place in Sweden. Wasn't that unusual to have places where you could find one meter of snow, outside of stuff like roads that had been ploughed. 17:04 they do sell alcohol ( mainly weaker beers), they just don't sell "booze". If you want anything stronger than 3.5% then yes, you need to go to the special government liquor store that sells the stronger stuff. Can't say for sure if that specific Coop store sells any alcohol, I know the chain itself does sell alcohol.

I have one of those little Artic Lodges in my garden - I use as a home office. We went to the Caravan show in 2013 and came away with an Arctic lodge, instead of a caravan. Came with real reindeer skins to sit on, Thick Swedish pine walls. Very cozy when the fire is on.
