It isn't a rich person problem, it's more of a hardcore collector buying a play deck instead of PSA grading collecting. It's funny because Rux later on made this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmekYZqlepWEaac 8:15 marker in this video. He points out how you don't PSA grade an expensive card if it's expensive because it's very good. This very example explains why he is over analyzing the condition, because he is speaking as a collector and not a player.

I buy singles from TCGPlayer and I’ve had good experiences, just buy from buyers with great reviews. Every now and then you’ll get a “Near mint” card but it’s really a Lightly played like how those Solemn Strike cards were 💔

If it is an expensive card you care about, buy it when photos are posted (ebay) or obtain it irl. For TCGplayer I assume everything is LP anyways so I just go for affordability expecting the worst, usually NM is the same price for cheap cards, but for $5-10 cards LP is fine, keeping in mind a banlist later and these cards could be $2. People are not selling graded cards.

The crap on the imperms are from stuff getting into the top of the sleeves after a lot of play. This is very common for cards that are played a lot, especially when you don't double sleeve.

I love buying on TCG, but honestly (as a small newly started seller myself) I choose to stick with the smaller sellers always. Game shops tend to have pretty nightmarish reviews with no responses, wrong products being sent, or just lies about the condition. For the Starlight Stardust Dragon I intentionally looked for someone with at least 1k sales hopefully because I know they'd care more for the card since they more than likely don't have 1000's of other high value cards to fall back on like card shops do. I feel as if the quality of shipping from smaller sellers is better as well. Personally, I use a titan shield sleeve instead of penny sleeves for better quality > into a top loader > into a team bag > then wrapped with paper. Overall I think TCG is a great market to buy from, I just wish they'd promote smaller sellers with 100% positive feedback and over 50 sales better.

its not even a meta deck anymore. maybe a few years back but not now and not in that form. to make it the strongest form that blue eyes was it needs chaos max and chaos form along with some other spell. and even then its not meta.

I feel like those Imperms were just stored single-sleeved and some crud got into the top. I double-sleeve all my decks, and the inner sleeves get pretty gross after a while. Still, lots of extremely cool cards here! It's gonna be a very pretty-looking deck.

Sadly, double-sleeving was deemed unacceptable years ago, only being changed recently and a lot of people have yet to be convinced.

@@the_guiding_qui The main downside is it costs more and takes up more space (many deck boxes are designed to hold about 70-80 single sleeved cards, you need the 100 card deck boxes, because outer sleeves make the deck like 30% or more bigger. Also, many probably don't know the best way to do it. Dragon Shield Clear Matte Standard sized sleeves are glossy on the face (letting the holo shine compared to other Matt sleeves), but grippy on the back, with plenty of room on the tops and bottoms of Konami/Yugioh sized sleeves, and are still snug and extremely firm. Amazon's Titansheild feel identical but 2 mm short. The others have decoration. You can also use inner sleeves which I do for my DDS, I'm not sure the best product for that though.

My experience with TCGPlayer has been mostly positive. I don't buy a ton of "loose" product (More of a sealed person). I always buy NM and I would say about 30% of what I've gotten were more like light - heavily played. I do prefer to pull my own cards, it's more satisfying that way.

Deck showcasing is a fun change of pace from the regular openings. Quite a fun video. But there really isn't anything like a blue eyes meta deck😂. The extra deck is mostly generics with the ability to spam level 8 xyz monsters. The xyz carry the deck quite well. Personally I have never bought from tcgplayer

If you end up wanting to try another strategy with blue eyes i would definitely recommend trying Chaos Danger Blue eyes its pretty solid if you can afford droplet for the main deck, also my favorite blue eyes print is either ultimate rare or power of chaos prismatic if you don't want to try to play DDS but want the prismatic rarity.

When I ship a card, I like to do double sleeve and hard top loader. I also like to create a pull tab out of tape attached to the outer sleeve to make it easy to remove the card(s) from the toploader. No matter the cost, condition, or price, all cards get shipped like this. Unless it's a really expensive card, then I'll ship it in a sleeve inside of a one-touch slab, covered in a slab team bag, with bubble mailer. The stuff I've received in return from other sellers is pretty atrocious. NMs that were definitely LP at best. But, on the other hand, I've received LPs that were definitely NM

I personally love TCG to help me finish collecting cards I can't pull from packs.However I love that you are the same way with cards as I am. A card is either near mint or it isn't and a lot of people don't get that. Depending on the price, I usually don't complain but if I pay a high price for a card listed as near mint, it needs to be near mint. And this was an awesome video because I like helping my friends get their cards from tcg to build decks for them and ill take any info or opinions you have to offer when you do the same.

when i read "Near Mint" i do be kinda expecting a "i think it's mint" type grade card. ofc there's room for error as they're not gonna be looked under some microscope meticulously. but i think that's generally what i expect. i'd also be judging someone if they said a card was mint in their listing because they're not a professional grader lol how would they know it's a 10? respect to the people who list their cards as LP when they're genuinely LP.

That Celtic Guardian was one of the first tins I remember getting as a kid, so niiice! As for TCGPlayer, I've only ordered a few cards and most were fine, as described.. except once I was sent an unlimited Blue-Eyes instead of a 1st Edition like I payed for, BUT the seller sent me the 1st edition promptly after and didn't ask for the unlimited one back either! "Cards in Near Mint (NM) condition show minimal to no wear from shuffling, play or handling and can have a nearly unmarked surface, crisp corners and unblemished edges outside of a few minimal flaws. For TCGPlayers parameters and what they consider to be Near Mint condition, it seems like most of these cards fell into that category accurately. I wish there was a 'Mint' option in front of Near Mint for selling on TCGP, and if the card isn't PERFECT when you buy Mint, then start looking into returns and stuff. "Near" just implies "Close Enough", not a great gamble when it comes to card conditions and they didn't upload any pictures.

get whatever blue eyes artwork you like the most. If it’s the OG from the anime then go ahead and get em. I think Blue Eyes looks best in Secret but i know DDS is a bit much. The gold rare for the OG art is underrated imo. The secret from the 02/03 collectors tins for the LOB artwork are insane too. They reprinted it as secret in the mega tins one year, but I still like em way more than LOB ultra rare. If the anniversary pack wasn’t $100+ for good conditions i’d suggest em, think they’re better than the Anni art and better than any blue eyes with the tablet or globe behind it.

Other than that i'm looking for cards in my local Card Shop at Garage Sales and in local eBay sellers collections. Man I have just about the same blue eyes deck 😅 ultimate heart-earth instead did ghost. It's..... Not the best lol with all the non blue eyes help it feels hardly like a bewd deck. Please duel team aps 😍 Edit for giveaway: judging TCG based on individual sellers is sorta null. I sell on TCG player and I've found that my grades drastically differ from a lot of other people. When buying cards up to 20 I don't bug out on a ding or two often but if I'm buying an expensive cards it needs to have accompanying pictures. *Also* TCG has strict grading guidelines so I'm not really sure why some people are so astounded to find out they graded something wrong. It's either ignorance or sketch.

I prefer to just list most of my cards at Lightly Played unless the card is undoubtedly Near Mint, in most cases the price difference is unsubstantial and you make the person happy by giving them a better card than they were expecting. With that being said, THAT LIGHTNING STRIKE IS THEFT!

I’m like iffy about TCG player because in some cards the shipping is more than the card and also when you buy an expensive card the shipping is like another $20 but you do have those sellers that include shipping but I’m more of a I’m physically there to see what I am buying and how I feel about it type of person. I drive all over LA county for my cards some shops are ridiculous with the prices and some are fair and I go back to those shops for sure.

This inadvertently became a psa about how to properly pack, ship and condition list your cards lol. Nothing makes me sigh more than receiving a card that wasn't secured in a team bag or they used scotch tape instead of the far superior painter's tape. Making me put a blade near my cards especially if they are expensive is no bueno. I'm really picky of how I list my cards, psa 8 and up is what I consider NM.

I live in the UK and since Brexit it's impossible to buy cards from Cardmarket (it's what we use here instead of TCGplayer) since every purchase comes with some absurd taxes which usually are higher than what you paid for the card. my experience with TCG? Oh boy ... I've been collecting pokemon cards for years but they have been stolen from me. Now I play yugioh but meta decks are worth more in my country than I earn in 2 months. So my experience with TCG is a pain

I really don't understand the point of getting top rarities and minty cards to be played. If youre playing with them who cares what rarity they are and if the corner is bent? Unless its for a collection to be in a binder, big waste of money.

I thought I was picky lol. In all honesty, a few dimples cant be helped, that's mostly card printing. As far as damage goes, if you have to really squint hard to find signs of ware, that is what I consider nm. Then again, I think it I would have to hold some of the cards you were hold to call lp. (this excludes the strikes)
