Depends on your school, not all schools require it. If you want to do the fast track visa called NSE- Nigerian student express as well, you need Ielts. If you do the regular visa, Ielts isn’t needed.

Different people actually have their reasons for getting a return ticket. But to be honest a one way ticket is more affordable. Some people also say they get to refund you for the return ticket later on which makes it less expensive in the long run. Different people and different choice sha .

Sommy this is important. I was given admission for a two years program, but my passport is expiring next year. Can I renew it now before sending it down? My agent is saying it’s not possible I will have to wait 6months before expiration date of my passport. Please how true?

I renewed mine before I sent it to them so yea, it is possible. 6 months is what they usually say but if you know someone at the passport office or tell them you lost it then you’ll get a new one. So renew your passport if you can now. You’ll be grateful that you did it. Get the 10 years even.

I think the only thing was I had a bit of a delay but I still got my visa. This is a government institution so they have all necessary data and can confirm that you have a new passport.

You have to quickly renew it and send it via webform.

I’d advise you quickly renew and let them know because they won’t give you a TRV or study permit beyond the expiry of your passport. This would mean when you get to Canada you’ll need to extend your TRV and study permit- unnecessary stress.

If you don’t mind going through the stress of study permit application again when you’re in Canada then you can leave it.
