The bunny chow was made by Indians in South Africa. Considering Indians have been here for a long time, they're just as South African us the rest of us. You're going to find that many South African foods originate or take inspiration from other countries since some of us have taken our ancestry from other countries. It's great that you enjoyed it!

Well, the Ottoman Empire told Europe they can't trade with Asia anymore and those Europeans really wanted to get to India. Modern day Cape Town in South Africa served as a nice checkpoint for traders. Then comes colonisation by Dutch and then later Brits and they brought slaves and workers. Bunny Chow is actually from South Africa, it originated in Durban where the largest population of Indians outside of India resides, just the mere fact that its served in western bread over naan bread says it didn't come out if India. Really good biltong shouldn't have that tough but glad you enjoyed it. Food wise I would've suggested Braai, Boerewors Roll, Babotie, Gatsby and Melktart but thats just my culture, we have many cultures with different suggestions.

Yeaaaa!!!! Love seeing you check out reptiles and animals. It's always fun to see people who don't normally interact with animals do so - so cool! Birds are fun too for sure, beautiful, smart, fun. Omg that Green Iguana was such a dood!! Love lizard head bobs haha. Next time you'll have to visit Dingo Dinkleman and really get a SA experience with all sorts of snakes, native and otherwise, lizards/monitors (goannas) and more! (Also happy birthday Joey!)
