if anyone is trying to learn tracer and you think you aren’t doing enough remember on tracer you don’t have to get kills you can try distracting enemy supports by getting them to turn around and stop their healing (which could distract the tank too) or poke the tank from behind so they can’t really rank for the team maybe you get kills or maybe not by doing that but you’ll directly be killing the whole team by stopping heals or stopping tanking Like even at the end 15:25 he gets them off robot which stalls time for the team to contest when they make contact

I play support and when there is a tracer fighting us our team never turns around

either you get a pick and it becomes a 4v5 or one of the other teammates turns around to help and it becomes a 3v4 for the rest of the team. The only situation where tracer really doesnt get value is if people ignore you and you still cant get a kill. just distracting multiple people and giving your team an easier fight is huge value and literally requires nothing except be annoying as hell. killing is great but people thinking tracer is the same as sombra are goofy

Also, triple blinking in and rewinding WITHOUT throwing your pulse bomb is fine if you don't see a 7/10+ target. You can wait 10 seconds and try it again

I've just binged watched a lot of these videos to look at the other perspective on a lot of these characters that feel bad to play against. (Like Widow or Hanzo because of the capability to one shot) but because of these videos I have now been convinced that the skill required to play a lot of these hero's makes it a deserved, even if losing to it doesn't feel right. Also: I think I will play some of the characters myself (for the same amount of time) to understand how much they need to do to kill me, and to get better at playing around them.

hey tracer main here not trying to be rude or anything just trying to give some tips if you ever or anyone tries this again, blink management is key you should always at least have 1.5 blinks on you during a fight or have 1 so you can escape if you get into a tricky situation, and another thing is you should use your recall as a second life/get out of jail free card because your recall will determine if you play either aggressive or safe because of tracer's small health pool, and one last thing is memorize where the health packs are around the map because with tracer's squirmy playstyle and you not always being able to retreat towards your support for heals it is key to memorize health pack placement around the maps

That’s exactly how I feel everytime I play tracer against hanzo, I should be calm and realize it’s basically a free kill, but I swear every game, the hanzo has a magic missile on my cerebral cortex, and logs me on his first shot for 10 minutes straight, idk how they always manage to hit the headie on me that consistently, I look at the replay and I’m zooming around like a mf, but they just make a csgo pro league wrist breaking flick and dome my tiny head with ease.

The way you said that really makes it seem like a playstyle issue. Tracer should literally almost never rely on her healers for healing. You use health packs and play around your recall

The main thing that separates good tracers from bad tracers other than mechanics and gamesense is cooldown usage. You constantly used 3 blinks for unnecessary plays. A nice rule to follow is: Blink 1 - free Blink 2 - dodge abilities/shot (often 180 from them) Blink 3 - emergencies I personally don't think triple blinking for a pulse is worth unless it kills 2+. It is not a worth trade and playing for uptime is the easiest way to climb. Just staying alive and being annoying is definitely more worth than constantly trying to trade

Man looking at PC tracers landing pulse bombs looks really weird and different compared to console. We don’t have good enough control over our joysticks to raise our sensitivities to the point where we can 180 pulse or even 90 degree pulse without sacrificing our tracking ability.
