As a Hanzo main (≈150h) I can say that this character requires patience, calmness and understanding of where and when the enemy can come from. Over time, you get used to the trajectory and flight time of the arrow and many elims seem to be just luck (although sometimes there is no way without it either) P.s. my mean weapon accuracy is about 31% and I very like to spam strorm arrow to try a bounce kill or in shields))

To be fair, weapon accuracy hardly matters, as long as you get the kill in the end, it doesn’t make much difference I had a game as Hanzo where I had a 78% Weapon Accuracy and still lost, followup game I had a, no joke, 9% weapon accuracy, yet still did enough to help my team win As long as you’re helping, it’s fine I also prefer Hanzo to the other sniper characters because, with enough precision, I can go one on one with Dva and Orisa in close range, compared to Ashe and Widow who are fucked if an enemy gets in their faces Hanzo is just good at ALL ranges, in close range, even without Storm arrow, two body shots tends to finish most DPS, and one headshot does the same, at mid range he shines, and at long range, with enough patience and luck, he can beat Widow and Ashe Hanzo just hits so hard And it’s funny how whenever I swap to Hanzo and start popping off, my enemies throw team composition out the window, just so they can kill me as Tracer or Moira or Sombra And then die anyway

One thing about hanzo, the skin your using as well as the wolf skins make your head waay bigger (not sure if it changes the hitbox, but its a lot easier to headshot)

I miss the non toxic overwatch experiences. Now it's all super toxic and super hard to have fun playing the game especially when you play hanzos, genji, Ashe and widow. I was a Hanzo main for 4 years on Overwatch, and I can say for certain that most shots you hit are skill. I had a long journey with Hanzo and it gets rocky at some points. I wanted to give up many times and just move on but you gotta keep at it. Once you get good you only get better, so keep at it and just play for enjoyment. That is the fastest way to improve.

there is a level of skill but once you just sit down and watch side by side comparison of someone like Arrge and Kenzo playing their mains you realize that Hanzo's skill expression is a little....less than someone like Widow lol

@shaades she also has a much smaller projectile size. She also has waaaay less escape tools and burst potential. She's an all or nothing character while hanzo is way more lenient, especially with his truck sized projectile arrows

I have played hundreds of hours of Hanzo, that Pixel Spray is impossible. To put this into a numerical context, his each Storm Arrow does 65 damage, and he has 5. That gives him a max output of 325 damage. It has a x2 headshot multiplier. If you headshot with Storm Arrows, it takes two headshots to kill a squishy. So 2 minimum for the first kill, 2 for the second. and then you have 1 left. As you know, 65 times 2 is 130, meaning you’re doing just over half their HP, meaning that last target needs to be on max 70 HP. And you need to consider, that’s all with headshots, and you’re on a time limit before the ability runs out. I wish the achievement were just to get a bounce kill.

Speaking of inconsistent Hanzo aim, Arrge posted a guide somewhat recently exploring concepts of greed and fear and how they help predicting where enemies will be to land effortless headshots. Can't recommend it enough, helps with landing any ranged shots, not just for Hanzo.

I have played hanzo a bit more this season and I've came to conclusion that he is a mixture of both skill and luck sometimes I hit questionable headshots completely lucky and sometimes I actually aim for the head and it lands. The thing I found out about hanzo is that always put your crosshair where the enemy head would be horizontally and try to aim near their heads you'll find the most success that way

I started playing hanzo a few weeks ago and i already have 28 hours with him and i have to say a lot of my shots look like it was just luck but i actually calculated it, obviously sometimes i get a lucky shot but its rare and the key to be good with hanzo is to be calm and dont panic, sometimes when a enemy is low hp i like to activate storm arrows and they will panic and jump around thinking im gonna spam tf out of it but i just keep my crosshair still and they eventually walk into it lol
