Before Indev 20100219 you need flint & steel for Iron ingots (then you are asking how to do it) just drop all your iron ore into the fire

8:36 could be wrong but I think you need a flint and steel then throw iron ore into the fire to get iron ingots but tbh u can’t get a flint and steel without iron so idk might be a later version Edit: 10:03 nvm apparently mobs drop flint and steel
