In this video I take you through an edited journey from start to finish as I spent 100 days playing No Man's Sky! This game is amazing, it became one of my favorite of all time and even after 60+ hours of recording gameplay and another 60 editing I still crave re-entering the immersive sci-fi open world universe that No Man's Sky provides.
From Day 1 to Day 100 we will explore as much as possible within the galaxy. This playthrough is full of funny moments, foreshadowing, interesting storyline insight and much more! I had only played No Man's Sky one time before which was near the launch date of the game so this was a completely blind playthrough!
Watch from chapter 1 as I show you how I repair my ship and equipment to making a base to fighting pirates in space and much more! Thank you for watching this video and making it possible for me to spend over 100 hours on a video, leave a like and subscribe for more cool gaming content!

@@TheSmokinPotato its one of those games that I can watch people play over and over. Its never the same twice and its interesting to see what others do to solve the problems that arise and what they prioritize in the game. There are so many ways to be successful and just as many definitions of what success is in NMS. And seeing completely new people have their minds blown over and over. Wow I found a ship!?! I CAN SELL IT?!?! You mean I can fully manipulate any terrain?!?! Wow look at the caves! Holy hell we get a freighter? Wow there's 8 different vehicles to tool around in? I CAN BUILD A BASE UNDERWATER?!?! WOW derelict freighters are like a dungeon crawl no way! Wait, whats all these robot guys... another race?!?! Look at these sentinel ships wow! OMG is that an AT-ST walker?!? RUN AWAY!!! You mean it was me in my last life that left all this stuff for me? I just met God... no way. Maybe real life really is a simulation... 🤣 best game ever.

Love this video. Almost to the end. If u keep playing after your 100 days. Keep in mind that if u sell chlorine, make sure the space station or trade terminal sells chlorine first. That way you can buy it back. If they don't sell it, then you won't be able to buy it back after u sell. U want a ton of stacks to make some decent money. Like 20 stacks is a good start. Hope u keep enjoying this game. I got a pc last year and had to restart. I'm still enjoying the heck outta this game. Also buy starships and scrap em. then sell the upgrade modules to make fast nanites. Look for s class ships to do this with. Usually in 3 star systems. Gg

Incredible! I've already watched 55 minutes, I'll watch it little by little over the next few days. Impressive for its size, but it's really cool to watch. All the commentary about what's going on or what you're thinking about doing or how you're feeling in the game, well explained. There's even a decryption with a space ass (50:54) 😅. Congratulations, what a work it must have been to do. I can imagine the excitement (or relief) when it finally aired after so long producing this.

Pretty crazy you started out in a region another player has been to. The game starts a new save in a system nobody has ever been to way out on the edge usually. You don't see things that have already been named unless you are near the center or on an expedition. I have only seen 1 other player out and about in 2000 hours of NMS, not counting expeditions and weekend missions where they force everyone to one area.

@@treymathis1189 I think HG changed the parameters for starting systems, cus I have heard several people say they started in an already discovered one recently. Or they ran out of the undiscovered ideal ones finally. Cus every start, you begin on a hazard planet with no storms or sentinels, and the system always has a lush planet and another type of hazard with storms and sentinels that you gotta visit... and they try to get you to build there in repsonse to the incoming storm and then make you smack your head and say Doh when you find the pleasant one. 🤣 Its gotta have lush planet cus you need copper for the tutorial, so they cant just start you anywhere.

Wow Lubricant and Acid... Korvax know how to party. There is a way you can build in your settlement. You gotta run away from the settlement til you are allowed to place a base computer. Its like 300-500u. Claim the area, and then go back toward your settlement. You will reach a point where you can't build at the edge of your base computer radius. Place a wall or floor there, it gives you another 50u. Keep placing a part every 50u til you are inside your settlement and now you can build inside the village. Gotta be careful though, you will be approving construction projects that pop up in random spots later. Its best to add to and build inside of already existing buildings. You can put your research guys in there, eventually it will build landing pads and a market with a trade terminal and other vendors. Its nice having everything in one spot. I haven't watched the whole 12 hours yet, so you might have already figured it out... you can build on your freighter too, including 10 storage that you can access from the ground once you put a matter transmitter in your freighter. Super useful. Never have a full inventory ever again. 😂 To get the freighter modules to unlock the research and parts, you can shoot up freighters in a pirate system. Sentinels will not spawn. And all that contraband merch sells for tons in a legal system. Thats how I make my money early game. It ruins your reputation with whatever race claims that system, but you can kill the pirate bounties that show up regularly to restore it. Or walk around handing our relics til they don't hate you anymore. 😂

haha i wanted to backseat so many times, at around 4 hours, you had been looking for convergence cubes for quite some time, the fact that you had 1 laying in your storage back in home base, and everytime you met an alien that had them for sale you didnt buy them.. gaaaah , but this trip so far has been very similar to my first run years ago, recently picked the game back up and loving it so far,

the best way to farm easy and fast money is to search for sentinel ships and salvage them, so you can basically do a unending circle, first you start a crime on a planet or in space so sentinels attack you, then you kill them all till the big sentinel freighter, that gives you a scanner you can use who locates a sentinel ship for you. alternative you can look out for corrupted planets and destroy the drills to get a item as drop that locates a sentinel camp for you, including a weapon and a ship location scan.

I'm only an hour and a half in so far, but I HAVE to know. Did you ever figure out that the containers that you remove the slime and scrap metal from actually have something else in them? I did the same thing when I first started the game where I'd take the slime or scrap metal and immediately exit out of the container. What I didn't realize was that those items were actually just what was blocking the container from opening and by exiting out immediately afterwards instead of letting it exit me out automatically I wasn't getting the stuff that was actually in them. 😭 Edit: Okay, you sort of figured it out like a few minutes after where I stopped lol. My timing is awful.

Not gonna lie, I did not see the video length when I clicked. This is one I'll have to watch a bit at a time. (This is probably gonna be a MASSIVE comment by the time I'm done. Just gonna edit as I go to avoid spamming with multiple comments.) Edit: I'm barely into the video, but I love how he's thinking so small scale when he first starts. Like talking about "hopefully we get to go to that planet" and stuff. As much as I love this game, and it's still a ton of fun for me to just fly around and find new planets and stuff, you do eventually realize just the absolute ridiculous amount of planets in the game, and that missing something isn't the end of the world, you'll find plenty more similar things as you go. When I first started NMS, I had this whole plan to land on every planet in every system I discovered, just because. I quickly realized that, outside of the nanites and just having the discoveries listed, there's not really a massive need to land on everything. I've skipped straight through plenty of systems, just stopping at the station for the teleport, at this point. ----- Edit: Something to note about how this game works, mostly for new players and people that haven't seen it before. It does have a story to follow with an end goal, it does have side quests and things. It also has some RPG mechanics in terms of weapon, suit, ship, and Freighter upgrades. BUT... it's also a lot like Minecraft. In the sense that, once you finish the minor story that's mostly just there to throw new game mechanics at you, you can keep playing. And a lot of play time, assuming you don't just rush through the story and quit, is spent doing the same stuff you'd do in Minecraft. Mine for resources, explore for places to loot and stuff, build a base, farm, power stuff with wiring and stuff. Like, it's Minecraft in Space, with a smidge of RPG mechanics and Elite Dangerous sprinkled on top. With a little bit of a story. If you want a space game that's an actual RPG with a proper story, I'd recommend Starfield. It's essentially what you'd get if you turned NMS into a Bethesda RPG. But if you want a massive open world sandbox to play around in, fly through, build bases in, etc, then NMS is the game for you. --- Edit: Another thing to note for new players and such. Don't worry too much about what you can/can't find on the first couple planets you go to. The game makes it feel like traveling to another planet is this huge deal. But in reality, you're gonna be planet-hopping constantly for resources and missions and things. After a while, going to another planet to gather some resources is about as quick and simple as walking to the corner store for a gallon of milk. I only mention it because I noticed the video-creator sounding concerned or something that buried tech was harder to find, or that copper wasn't everywhere. You'll always be able to find a planet where the thing you need is common. The planet I built my main base on has TONS of buried tech modules all over the place. A couple minutes of wandering around and I have 50+. --- Small tip for new players: use the smallest size on your terrain manipulator when mining ores in the ground. It takes longer, but you get way more resources. The bigger the size, the less you get. I don't know the keyboard controls, but on Xbox it's the bumpers to change size. ---- The way he's naming planets amuses me. I actually really like seeing all the different ways people come up with planet names. Some of them try to be similar to our planet names, some go for edgy cool badass names, some are just "Steve" or "Jim's planet", some people are KZbinrs doing KZbinr things like this video. Personally I name mine similar to real exoplanets: [Name of survey or telescope that found it]-[Number, in order, that the STAR/system was found][Letter determining the order the planets were found] So, like, "TXFDA-813A" would be the 813th system, found by me. Capital A is used for the System/Star, while the planets are lowercase starting at b through z. And then moons use the planet name it's orbiting + a roman numeral for the order the moon was found. TXFDA-813f IV, would be the 4th moon orbiting the 5th planet in the 813th system that "TXFDA" discovered. If I use a freighter to scan a whole system at once, then I still name them the same way, I just name them in the order they're listed in the discoveries tab.
