Nice looking Landy, I would consider an upgrade to the alternator, maybe 150amp, you're likely to be shredding belts otherwise.

As someone that does this sort of a thing for a living, the cable routing is pretty terrible, should really go through the vents at the back of the battery box and up into the back somewhere hidden, that can be grommetted and then sealed again if you alter the system. I personally wouldn't put the battery there, but understand there aren't that many places to fit it. You will find the lift ruins the drive and kills stability, standard is best and 2" is really tops of what you want, too hard springs will jsut add to the insatbility. Been working with these vehicles for a lot of years. A lot of people think it's a great start before actually using the vehicle, then they find it hard to drive. My advice is learn to drive it in technical off road situations then home it to what you want. The pop tops are good for overland travelling, which you ideally need a standard vehicle for, so think if you want a rock crawler or a mud plugger or an overland vehicel, all the setups are very different in reality.

Get cranked front and rear arms on it mate double cranked on rear and 6 degrees for front it will make it drive a lot better bet it vibrates when your slowing down to a stop them cranked arms will stop that nice defender have a 90 and discovery myself

Had landrovers for ever still got my dads old series 2 a he bought new in 1966 ok i put a v8 in it in the 1980s but still use every so often latest i have is a 2023 range rover but will be my last great to see you showing british vechicles

Hi Liam , , before you power up that LRover check out Mel big van , he’s put something in he’s van thats chargers up the house batteries without solar panels , the alternator sends power through this thing then into the batteries and you have control what amps you want for the batteries , so it looks like in the future that all about you need
