I spent $1400 for a Platinum contest at 99designs to level up my DJ business logo...and LOVE it!

In this video, I walk through my experience with 99designs (www.99designs.com) as I sought an update to my DJ company logo. I LOVE the result and am very excited about using my new logo!
I talk about why I needed a logo change, the general workflow of the 99designs website, importance of writing a good brief, showing off some other features and options, and then I talk through the designs I was getting - some I liked, some not so much. After selecting my top contenders and seeking feedback from trusted people around me, I picked the winner!
Some might think that $1400 is a high price to pay for a logo design, but I'm aware of the costs of professional marketing development and logo / mark design work from an agency -- this process and the result was well worth the cost for me and my small business.

Branding makes a huge difference. I would be getting merchandise made to help sell your brand. Tshirts, hats, etc. Great giveaways for your clients.

Hey Lewis! I’m (still) very happy with my decision to invest in the rebrand. I would say that it has translated to a business improvement for a couple reasons: my confidence in my logo and brand comes through when I market myself; my new logo allows people to more easily connect with what I do can what I’m about (I don’t have to explain my name as often); I feel that I’ve captured a few new corporate events / clients partially due to my brand presentation and logo - since it is so professional Just a few thoughts. Probably the biggest thing for me is that this is my own unique logo that I absolutely love
