In 2018-19, I bought a couple of hundred PS2 games from CEX online when they were all between 50p and £2 each. At that time their postage cost was a flat rate of £2.50 for up to 8 or 10 games per package 👌 £2.95 per item now defeats the purpose really.

Yeh that’s crazy. I barley play my games and have t bought any in ages. Thinking of selling all my games to be honest. I’m just not into it anymore and wasted way too much money. Loved gaming as a kid but I just grew out of it after my teens and never really got the love back. Almost happened with vr but I got bad motion sickness, so yeh 😂

I love the selection at Cex, but sometimes they send games with reprinted inserts. It's really hit or miss when you order for delivery 😢

Great collection choices. Agree about the whole staying away from platinum games, but I personally would buy them if he cases were in good condition +cheap, that way I can replace any rare games and the same platform into a fresher shell by transferring the inserts over 👍

Please please please listen to an old 44 year old collector. DO NOT sell games you've had since childhood to replace with black label versions. If you want the black label versions that's fine, buy them but keep the old ones as well. Those games will mean the world to you when you are older.

Yep, In fact don’t sell anything at all. I wanted to get into collecting but was discouraged because I sold literally every old system and game I had. Sold a GameCube with a box of around 100 games (some of them being very rare and all in mint condition with the manual included) for £30 total for the console, games and 4 controllers. Exactly the same with my ps2, ps2 slim, ps3, psp and my 2 Xbox 360s. All with hundreds of games, controllers and everything. All for less than £100 in total. Biggest regret

With Luigi's mansion it depends. I mean £12, or 60. I pre-order that from Nintendo and it comes with a diorama of Luigi in the mansion. As the bigger collection sets were already sold out. Also pre ordered the Nes Championship deluxe edition as well. I think oh my god, I pre ordered those two, bought Splatter house 2 and McDonalds treasure land adventure for mega drive. Those two alone were in well excess of £200. I bought a Zelda: Four Swords and GameCube mega man collection today and have Vampire night with light gun on the way. Think I've spent about 500 on 8 games so far. One of the best spider man's is the PS2 limited edition ultimate spider man with lenticular slipcover. I had to get mine off eBay and it was quite a lot. But still managed to get it for a good price. I know there's a venom cover version and comes with a comic and that goes for at least £60 plus. CeX have it at £35 but will never get in at that price.

Word of advice, the older Splinter Cell games are a mine field of different versions. Definitely do a bit of research before hand. Anything that's Double Agent or before might have a "best version". Just going with Xbox for the lot might be a good plan as they're all Backwards Compatible and Enhanced on Series X. But for completionism's sake, you might want to pick up a PS2 or Gamecube copy here or there.

Onimusha warlords seems more platinum versions around than bloody OG. 😢 dont wanna order from cex as itll 95% be the platinum so I'll pay slightly more from ebay or something to get the OG version. 😂 would love all the Spidey games but not paying all that for them. I did own web of shadows a longgg time ago once but didn't like it and got rid ...😢 i wasn't ever to know it would be such a rare game 😅 Incredibles was a fun game. But yes, pretty hard! Love the project zero commitment! I grabbed the 1st when it was £30. Think I'll stop there😅 I got shafted with Infinite world, ordered online and it was the french box! As a kid, i never knew Infinite world even came out in the UK. I was certain it was America only etc...

Family home just got sold, having a clear out, I have Ratchet & Clank Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank & Tekken Dark Resurrections all for PSP, I don’t have the console anymore so can’t test them (they worked last time I used them if I recall but was a long time ago) but they’re all yours if you want them

Most of them limited print runs. Its not a popular genre in the UK plus being age restricted meant sales would be lower than most other games so less were made. Plus niche genre. Is my guess.

Platinum are just ugly silver spines and cases. And the Discs themselves are just plain with the text of the game title. Not a nice lovely picture printed on the disc. That's how I see it 😊

Original Tekken 2 case should be the large double jewel case. Tekken 3 should be in the standard single case. You just bought an ex rental one..

Fear games look and play absolutely fine on the Xbox 360 just don’t get them on the PS3. Like many multiplats of that era the PS3 versions run at lower resolution, lower frame rate, have screen tearing, and are generally just awful. Same with games like the orange box, Bayonetta, Batman Arkham asylum, assassin’s Creed, need for speed games, and many more. Was never a fan of the PS3 at the time and I’ve always thought it’s the worst Sony console, forced partial installations, no full game installation options, trophies are inconsistent across the library, controller with unergonomic triggers, slow XMB menu, worse online system, worse multiplats… it’s nice that the games were on scratch proof Blu-ray Discs but ever since the PS4 came out I’ve upgraded to the 1080p 60 frames per second fully patched games with all DLC on Blu-ray and got rid of the PS3 versions. Still kept the 360 versions of those games though.
