I played both tech tree while the British got very good tank in mid tier like rank 4 -5 you just need some skill to play it the Jap lack in almost everything in everything fuckin rank like all the tank have no armor with medium pen and post pen damage, and they have 0 CAS because we all know their air like spent all stat on Dogfight with 0 gound strike

I feel like the only people who don't like british tanks lack the knowledge of weak spots. Britain top tier is mid and the lack of a reverse gear is pain. But you get stabilizers on every heavy and medium earlier than most nations and great turret armor makes britain a menace at sniping if you know the maps and flanks. They also have a metric shit ton of good CAS options. Where as Japan is great 8.0 and above but it's the lack of lineups that make it the worst nation imo. I have Britain fully researched so I could be bias but there isn't a single BR group that you can't do well and have plenty of options.

The best part about Japan's ground tree is that you get to bring Japanese fighters into a mode where 70% of your targets are some combination of slow, retarded, and low to the ground, which are exactly the kind of targets they do really well against.

Pretty much the same with ~5.0-~7.0 Sweden. Dramatic br change and you're stuck using 4.0 tanks at 7.7+ until u grind out a lineup. Ikv103 heatfs at 4.0 and the lvkv42 aren't horrible at 7.7 but they're still pretty much obsolete.

The 3 worst nations in game are : Britain, due to how slow their vehicles are, without much added armor to compensate, and guns that pierce a lot but don’t do much damages (South African lineups for the win) Japan, for not having many full lineups, either from the lack of air vehicles, anti air, and not having that much vehicles in general France, while having much more choices, also struggles in having full lineups outside of a few very specific brackets, and, like Britain, gets shitted on a lot when it comes to the accuracy and random nerfs on their vehicles (challenger and Leclerc are the 2 worst top tier MBTs in my opinion, but they still have many artificial nerfs dragging them down, which is very annoying). It’s not like other nations outside of red ones don’t get nerfed, but those 2 are terrible offenders Also, French low BR is magnitudes worse than Japan, and you can’t change my mind. Only the B1 series are somewhat playable

Grinding the Japanese allowed me to really improve massively at the game. Since you never have armor, and often meh guns, you really have to be smart. The first breath of fresh air were the type 74's, and then the type90s. The 9.3 and onwards is really super pleasing, would recommend since it's a small tech tree.

Do you mean the air or ground tech tree? For air the 7.0 kikka is nice, being pretty much a better me 262, but you'll have to master your aim. And in terms of tanks, 7.3 is absolutely godly. As you will have the Ho-Ri (absolutely great unless uptier), the m47 (good reverse gear but crappy shell velocity), and ofcourse the Kikka with a 800kg bomb for CAS, munching on enemy CAS in the process. You can grind out the next rank entirely with those

I don’t play air so I can’t vouch for that, but BR 7-8 is easy AF. It’s only bad if you try to play it like the big three (U.S., Germany, and Soviet). At BR 7, stick to 6.7. You only need the Type-61. Literally, mount it’s HEATFS shell and you’ll kill everything you come across. Simply grind until you get the STB-2 and Type-74 (C). STB and Type-74 are easy stock because you start with some really good APDS rounds. As far as tactics go, if you haven’t learned how to aim, position, and snipe/flank from your time with the Chi-Ri and Type-61 then do so now. Japan is very much within that role. You shouldn’t be at the front or ahead of your team. Take a sniping position (preferribly behind or next to your teams frontline) and try to ambush. As a Japan main, Japan is a very good tech tree but it requires for you to play their strenths and have good knowlege of the game, maps, and real/semi-real world tactics.

I know it's your opinion but how? They have better tanks (they're just slower, well most of them at least) and they have better planes (especially at higher brs).

I love the APHE on low tier Japanese tanks and the battle pass B7A2. Absolute beast, turns better than most American planes even when I equip the 800 kg bomb.

I remember when the max was korean war era jets in this game and tanks werent even released yet, everybody said modern jets and tanks were a bad idea, and now we have naval and modern jets and helicopters. Fuckin wild how fast things can evolve in just a few years. This game took the redpill and delivered.

I started WT by maining Japan for my first country and I learned later on Japan is not that bad Many japan tanks are to play as glass canons: You get killed by everything but you can kill everything

might i suggest, the volume for the coms over discord is leveled too low for the music, maybe lowering the music volume would help, unless you dont want the coms to be easily heard, as it may be your focus to leave it like this

I feel your pain with a lot of the early tanks being practically complete garbage. However... :D The Ho-Ro, Chi-Ha LG and Chi Ha Kai if used right are complete beasts on the battlefield (the Chi-Ha-Kai made is on my list cause sometimes it will literally bounce like a heavy tank, even with the 30mm of all around armor xD)
