Brainwash dropped a balance patch today: store.steampowered.com/news/app/1785150/view/3734104009459115505?l=english I don't think the patch affects my ratings much though. My big takeaways from the balance change is that: - My beloved snail card (slow reload) got a fair bit worse (went from -50% reload speed to -40% reload speed). Still pretty good, but if you had another 2-point card in mind it might be worth swapping. Double slow reload is probably not nearly as strong with this change. - All "currency cards" except profaner (so, Extra Cards, Lottery, and Card Thief) got their point value increased by one. This is a well warranted nerf since these cards are so OP, but I still think Extra cards and Card Thief are must haves for competitive decks. Lottery is a bit more of a choice now that it's more expensive, but it's still a solid pick!

Regarding Heartless, I actually think on certain maps, Heartless and Vampire Bullets is a free round. If you can find spots to hide the heart really well, you can just run people down and as long as you land a few shots if you see them, you basically just force them to give up

Yeah I'm seeing heartless used very well recently. I've been playing against some high level players and a heart on a big map with clear sightlines and good hidey holes like gas station, or on subway or rooftop (especially in 2v2) heartless can actually be super good. It'll probably get a bit less good once all players learn all the good spots for it, but even then it should work pretty well. Definitely have gotten a higher opinion of heartless than I had while making this video

Just drop a wall and win the round for free, or with speed up to minigate the speed debuff it gives. The only real counter to that is the ice block defense which they can stay there for almost 10 seconds as your health drains

@@cloudshifter using heartless together with a wall just feels so yucky to me. Not to mention boring Even then there are ways around it, although it's tough to counter. In addition to ice block you can also do akimbo weapons to break the wall, or with the right map you might just be able to hide with a ninja smoke and right positioning. Not to mention poison brasshopper which also does well against heartless.

@@RealSnailGaming That's why it doesn't feel yucky to me, cause it has a ton of counters if the player actually uses their brains. You can even use any bomb, karotov or the grenade launcher to simply one tap the heart that is hidden with splash area damage and isnta win the round. If anything heartless is for the most part a free win for the enemy if they know what they are doing.

21:40 Surprised at the Empty Mag slander. It's crazy strong and versatile utility that I don't make decks without. It's not just a Bullet Time counter, it *aids* Bullet Time if used by you to ensure you get free shots without also getting headshot. It lets you dry approach opponents because they literally can't shoot back. It bolsters ambushes by delaying when the opponent can shoot back. It turns ambushes around on the attacker. A forced reload in general just flat out gives you the edge in a firefight, especially if you yourself have a slower reload. The only counter is to pop a weapon card, but most won't do that. And then you say Slow Reload is good for the reasons I listed? 28:00 Nope, they patched that. You make noise when sneaking by default now. They're still crappy cards, but still. Overall, pretty good video though. It'd take HOURS to divulge eeeeevery single use case and card combo, but it's good as a basic rundown. I think there should be a sister video where you expand more on the potential use cases of the more tricky to use "good" cards like Titan or Bullet Time, since the general card assessment is just "Yeah this is pretty good with x and y" or "This sucks".

I'll be honest I haven't used empty mag that much and might not know all its utility potential. Whenever people use it on me they do also tend to use it pretty poorly (people often even use it when I'm already reloading, effectively wasting the card), which has probably skewed my opinion more. I can definitely see it being used to counter a lot of things, like akimbo, bullet time, brain, shotgun, etc. and be pretty good in that regard. It is good to make people reload during bullet time, but I'd rather just time the bullet time with when they naturally reload, to not have to use a two point card on it (if I am the one activating bullet time) I can't say I really agree with the rest though. Using it as a gap closer is possible but a reload doesn't take very long which means you're usually not gonna close the entire gap before getting blasted. Slow reload seems better overall because slow reload is an effect that persists for the entire round, not just for 2 seconds. I don't think it's a trash card, it can definitely be good in a fair amount of situations if used right, I just think you can usually find better 2-point alternatives. Glad to see your insight though, I'm glad there's varying views on the cards because that indicates that they're both unique and balanced.

Also I don't remember them patching sneaking. The only change I remember is that you still make noise when impacting the ground after a fall/jump, but crouching around without jumping still seems soundless to me.

LMAO!!!! In my "280 hours" that was my first time getting in a 3v1. It was hillarious. I felt bad doing 3v1 though so just tried goofing around and sitting back. Somehow ended up losing 3500 rank points after winning the match, I'm guessing because of the weird 3v1 matchup.

is there a way to get legendary and epic packs other than leveling, same for the prize tokens.

the red Palprize tokens can be gotten from completing weekly and daily quests too, but otherwise no. The legendary and epic packs are ONLY from levelling, and once you hit lvl 100 you can't get anymore of them (you still get rewards after lvl 100, but no epic/legendary packs). In total I think you get something like 4 epic and 3 legendary packs going from lvl 0 - lvl 100, which makes them super rare

Empty mag is cracked what are you talking about, if you do it in a 1v1 and the opponent has no other weapons it can single handedly win at the right time, like your other thoughts though

I might have to experiment more with empty mag, it seems decent but I just always end up preferring the alternative 2-point cards. I will say though I have cursed the gods when doing mindblowing + Bullet-time and the opponent empty magged me. Although, it has been satisfying when I had weapon swap and just took their gun to blow their brains out with instead
