If there is one thing I should Have done is rethink my paint and went with the motor with that money, but my Evo was an eye sore when I first got it with dents and chipping paint, makes me happy looking at it now though, now I’m slowly creeping into that engine bay! I’m saving for an evo 8/9. I’m currently at 14k saved up for one. I love how simple your’s is. The only thing I’d do different is I wanna go wingless. Love how u said to be patient when coming to building it. I'm very impatient and I own a 06 evo ix with 26k miles bought it with 19.5k. Still trying to pay it off while it stays garage kept and a I daily a VW which is the dealer I work with as a tech. But once I pay it off and have money I hope to start the build. And your right if your an evo owner the the usdm bumper has to go and a jdm rear is a must one of the first things i did. Also follow u on ig keep up the good work bro

If you want to have a clean ass evo you're gonna have to spend some solid money on a paint job. I think 10gs is steep but expect to spend at least 6k. By the way yes it's worth it.

When you pop your hood open I was like, hope he keeps the engine bay grey before you mentioned it. Good move on your end, and great build so far. I can start working on mine now that i finally purchased a house with a garage. I have a red evo rs with some goodies, but far from where I want it to be. I definitely want to paint mine, and like you I couldn't find a white evo. So i might go the same route, and end up painting the engine bay black(If you can spot me that code, that would be great). Haha, no worries man. You can get a pretty good paint job for about 3-5K. It all depends if you really know your painter and their work. Man you spent a ton on cosmetic stuff..... I'd have a really hard time dropping $25k plus into a car without gaining an ounce of horsepower. I'm currently three years into my '03 Evo 8 build. Nearly everything on the mechanical side has been rebuilt or replaced. At any rate, clean ride. Build that engine! :)
