Hi Dani. I’m getting caught back up on your videos and posts. This video was magnificent. Incredible. Remarkable. I found myself saying “wow” every 20 seconds of your entire video. So beautiful the hotel aka Jeannie’s Bottle. You are fearless with food. Fungus, chicken feet, etc. and the shock of seeing the fish swimming in a small aquarium until it’s their turn to be someone’s meal. So surprising to me. A big wow that one. You looked so beautiful. I’ve never seen the type of housekeeping you received at the hotel. I love Filipino people so very much. We have a huge amount of Filipinos living where I live. They are the most kind and generous and warm and caring people. I’m always grateful when I see a Filipino who is going to be my nurse for the day or any other profession where I meet the Filipino people. They truly are a blessing to our world. And talented. Singers. Dancers sports and beauty queens. Too many to say. I’m so happy you got to go to a pageant in the Philippines. Hopefully your next trip there is as a judge. Cheers Raylene

There is a forumer in a past blog stated that in Miss Earth, the stage and program looks way better in person than when you watch online or TV as compare to Miss Universe the pageant looks great in TV/online. Yes, so true, the pageant is at a very cool venue and it's massive inside. It was soooo different from watching on tv. I do think Universe translates better on tv as well. Both are fun to attend in person. Since I was with QBN and we streamed the show, we were invited to the after party. I am not sure how to normally gain access to it. But I was very happy to eat before and after the show.

I always look for a local experience, but our trip was so short, there wasn't time to go into town. Chicken feet taste just like chicken but there's barely any meat and you have to spit out the bones. It's a lot of work for a little meat, so I'll stick to chicken breast and thighs in the future.

The last food you had that looked like a sausage is called Longganisa. It has two variations, garlic which looked like the one you had and the sweet longganisa. Both are made from ground pork with some spices. It form part of our traditional breakfast along with egg and sinangang (commonly known as fried rice).
