I saw "I spend 45mins with Civil" and i thought you were meeting up with Real Civil Engineer, and when i didnt see RCE. I was a little disappointed.... But then i saw it was the New Civilization game, and am making a refresh mug of tea, and am eagerly gonna watch it. 💜 Havent played Civ since 2. I am SO glad they got rid of the light colored undiscovered land, and the parchment style fog of war. It was SUCH a bad visual design, and I feel like it genuinely made it harder for me to play civ 6. I liked the idea of it, but in practice it left a lot to be desired

Instead of moving your scouts around like wild, like in the old games, click the Observe action buttons to find things, then walk to them, it's there to save all the aimless walking. ;P

I could never get into the Civ series and I loved Colonization and SMAC, I also loved similar games like Rise of Nations so not sure why the Civ games never did it for me.

I couldn't get into civ until 5. I played some 3 and 4 which were okay but couldn't keep my interest. Once 5 hit something clicked for me, and 6 had it's letdowns but came with other things that peaked my interest as well.

As someone who's always preferred Humankind over Civ, the new construction system seems much more of my type. Excited to see more, although I do still prefer the system that humankind and stellaris take in warfare and in development (having a territory that you claim that you can build in instead of branching from the core).

Humankind shot itself with its stupid pollution mechanics with no real way to address it, and it's nature reserve bugs making it worse. And the age advancements was pretty stupid too. Overall a fun game until the late age when you have no way to deal with pollution. So I dropped it 2 month after it is out.

It looks pretty good with the exception of three things. The font and menus are shite, the coin-like tiles are an ADHD nightmare and have my eyes darting around the screen, and it looks/feels a bit cold and uninviting, but not in the new look of the map which is nice.

Diehard Civ player since Civ III (I even played Call to Power, which in some cases could be counted as Civ 2.5), and still playing Civ V on my Mac to this day, I didn't like the shift in Civ 6. The gameplay falls flat when it frames so strictly on warfare. I usually like to advance my tech far beyond my rivals and position myself for defensive wars, instead of conquering other civs, I like to build rather than destroy. Plus, I want to see the entire tech tree and all the cool units in the game, so I'll muscle out an economic victory instead and beat everyone to space. Wish it could bridge out to something like Alpha Centauri, but...sigh, they don't want to make a perfect game. The graphics look awesome, but as a few pointed out, the UI looks so pedestrian and plain-faced that there are a few shortcomings that look either rushed or unfinished to me. I liked the auto-expand borders from Civ V, so I can place cities strategically anywhere I wish to claim territory instead of being bound to where the captial is. I didnt enjoy districts as it was in Civ 6 and IDK what leader switching and whatnot will work, creating an alternate history is fun, however the wonders and diplomacy is much better way to depict developing your own civilization's lore. Great channel Biffa, been watching for quite some time and lovely video bruv Cheers!

All civilization games are good, the problem is with late game crashes and turn times. Civ V had horrible late game turn times. CiV VI crashed a lot and was very sensitive to modding. We still have to find about that in Civ VII.

Like why not have a gameplay mechanic that allows you to send multiple source of horse to a single tile. Turn it into a professional stable. Get race horses. More entertainment.
